There was a story somewhere in there? I must've blinked. It looked like a martial arts exhibition with someone trying their damndest to force a plot on it. lol. But different strokes for different folks, I guess...
I have that on DVD and I think I got it from DeepDiscount. I dont recall what the quality of the movie is, but I didn't really mind as I had always wanted it on DVD. Every Kung Fu fan should own it! Kinda like IT workers and Office Space.

Does anybody remember Kung Fu Theater which used to run on Channel 26 in late 70's early 80's on Sunday morning/early afternoon? Does this ring a bell? They would always show poorly dubbed Kung Fu movies, and many of them were very cool. Maybe it was channel 39.
Yeah, that's what I call the original kung fu movies. Those are the ones I love... you know... the "you killed my dad when I was 2 leaving me, my sister, and my mom alone, but I went to the mountains and studied birds, grasshoppers, a preying mantis named Leroy, found some old dude with a 7 foot long beard taking a dump in the woods who had me do some crazy stuff that really didn't seem like it was improving me in any way, but by the time it was over, i had feet of iron, my chest was bulletproof, and i could crack coconuts with a flick of a finger, so I'm back now to avenge my dad's death I mentioned earlier" movies. That's where you find classics like Five Deadly Venoms.
this is hands down the STUPIDEST thing i have ever seen, and yet it also the most AWESOME thing I have ever seen.
this 0wnz all of your movies <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/RmdP1qTjGZY"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/RmdP1qTjGZY" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> imagine him landing the flying guillotine right on your head, and just before he yanks it, all you can think of is.. "my day is ruined." make sure you watch this one.. i cant embed it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTKpE6tfHBE
The two Kill Bill movies were great martial arts. If you've got a yen to watch some good Kung Fu, rent the Lone Wolf and Cub series (6 movies). Awesome stuff.
Lone wolf and cub series is great. It isn't Kung-Fu, it's a samurai flick, but it is absolutely great.
You wouldn't happen to know the name of a movie that had a whole academy of old dudes making their students do crazy stuff, do you? I saw bits and pieces here and there, but never knew the name of it.
this is the must watch. A reigning Chinese martial arts school is challenged by a competing group. When the challenger's are defeated, the leader has a Japanese martial arts master step in. This fellow is also defeated by the white-clad defenders and this incurs the wrath of the Japanese. They devise a plan to trap the Chinese by using the Five Element Ninjas.
That's true; it's not 100% Kung-Fu since the main character is a Samurai, but there are tons of different styles of martial arts in it. Cub kicks ass, too.
Its sad when 1993 is considered an oldie, especially considering a most of the movies mentioned in this thread are from the 70's. Fong Sai Yuk kicks @ss though.
