Can anyone name any good, tasty, filling food that is NOT bad for you? Hmmm...sounds like a new thread...BRB.
i used to love chinese take-out, and fast food in general. i just can't do it anymore. i'm not on any kind of diet but whole fresh foods just taste better to me. all fast food dishes have the same flavor- GREASE. now i like fat and butter and cream etc. i just like to taste what i'm eating.
i know what you mean, my wife and I practically devoured my mom's cooking when we got back from a week's vacation filled with restaurant food every afternoon and nihgt.
And they got lots of fresh air, exercise and lets not forget all the whippings, yep nothing makes you healthier than hard brutal labor.. Seriously though a traditional peasent Chinese diet that the vast majority of Chinese have lived off of for millenia consists of about 85% Rice 7% vegetables, 5% Soy protein and 2% meat. While very low in fat and high in fiber there are some serious protein and vitamin deficiencies.
Why would anyone need a "study" to tell them that General chicken is bad for them? It's like a study to show that drinking coke and eating french fries can be bad for the health. Yeah, no kidding. I can't possibly imagine that chicken in deep fried batter cooked with starchy, very sweet sauce can possibly be bad for my health.
Just finished my order of TSO Beef and a cup of hot and sour. If this food is unhealthy, I don't want to be fit! Is it terribly unhealthy to throw the white rice in the leftover TSO sauce to soak it up and then eat the sauce soaked rice?
see what the chinese are trying to do kill americans in their own country... I love chinese, but I stoped eating it this year, I have been eatin clean mostly with lots of protein and fresh fruits Since January I lost 13 pounds and gained muscle from going to the gym eat healthy peepz, you'll feel much better
That's probably because most Chinese people eat Chinese food, and not the greeeeezy deep-fried crap in those buffets. "Damn, is that pizza? Who knew pizza and chicken wings were chinese food!"
George: We gotta get something. I don't want to go to that meeting on an empty stomach. Let's get some Chinese. You wanna order it? Jerry: All right, but then we gotta get some work done. Let me just call Kramer, see if want anything. (Calls) Hey, we ordering Chinese food. If you want anything-- (Kramer enters quickly) let me know what it is and I'll order for you. George: I'll tell you what. Why don't we just get a couple of dishes and we'll just share 'em. Kramer: Okay. What are you getting? George: I'm gonna get a Chow Fung. Kramer: What's a Chow Fung? George: It's a broad noodle. Kramer: What do you mean, a broad noodle? George: It's a big flat noodle. Kramer: Well I don't want a big flat noodle. George: What kind of noodle do you want? Kramer: Who says I want a noodle? George: All right, look. I'm getting the Chow Fung. You don't have to have any. Kramer: All right. I'll get pea pods and you can't have any of my pea pods. George: Fine. Kramer: Get extra MSG.
And yet they see fit to do a study on evil Chinese food. Takeout places in New York are frequented by plenty of Chinese.
