Last night I was really impressed with Snyder, all his passes to Yao were on point and right on time. He did not dribble a lot and he made the right adjustments on the court....Even though his shot release is pretty damn slow, he makes them. I think if he continues to play like this he could be getting even more minutes. Also his enthusiasm on the bench is remarkable....I hope he stays here, his athelticism could bring us a step further...

i like snyder a lot. he is a better basketball player than i thought. i really thought we were just getting a stromile athlete player but snyder actually has some instincts even though he is still raw. who knows...maybe he can become what we were hoping for from bonzi.

I'm just glad that JVG woke up a bit.

Granted, Bonzi could/would really help in the playoffs IF HEALTHY. But he has been fat and injured all year.

Kirk Snyder had a bit of a tiff with JVG in practice some two weeks ago, and prior to that, after having a really solid game, earned no real praise from the coach. I remmeber JVG going on the air saying that one good game in garbage time isn't going to change his mind about the rotation, that Bonzi was gonna play blah blah blah.

Of course, it could have been a chance to see if public praise was going to bring Bonzi around.

Now Snyder's getting minutes. Finally. He's playing pretty well and seems to help.

ive always liked snyder, but he does have a weird shot. especially on fadeaways, it seems like he hangs in the air forever before letting his shot go. that may just be because he jumps so high, but it looks really weird. but he does have a nice arc to his shot so when it goes in, it goes in real soft.

Snyder's jump shooting is probably the slowest release of anyone in the league. Good thing he is 6'7".

The best part about Snyder though, he seems to be making "quicker" decisions. More decisive with what he wants to do in terms of feeding the post or attacking the basket. The more he plays and is comfortable the better he will be with that. And that's what we need for our offensive to run efficiently.

Keep cutting to the basket Kirk!

His 3pt percentage is horrible, but he makes a high percentage inside arc and draws fouls at an incredible rate on his 2 pt FGAs.

I'm not worried about his 3 point fg %. He doesn't take that many to begin with. Why didn't JVG play him right away after he came back from the injury?

His release from the 3 point line is slow for a reason. Snyder is a penetrator/slasher/finisher. When he steps into the shot, he does it slowly because he is wanting the defense to run at him so he can blow by them. If you'll notice, his release is much quicker off the dribble. It's when he catches and shoots that he takes his time. He needs to make it a little faster, just to be in better rhythm, but he is predisposed to drive to the hoop, which is fine with me.

However, I'd still trade him for Nachbar. Better shooter and better finisher.

    DD has always liked Snyder.

DD has wanted Snyder to play in front of Bonzi.

DD is glad that JVG has finally seen the light.

DD is talking in 3rd person, which is silly.

    DD.....

His 3 point FG% seems to have gotten a LOT better recently. I wonder what his stats are over the last 10-15 games or so.

Better shooter? yes better finisher? no

yeah boki has had some impressive dunks lately but snyders athleticism is higher than boki's plus snyder is more aggressive on defense which i would take over boki.

of course if we can get boki to sign here over the offseason then thats just plain gravy to me

I really like Snyder. Snyder is a lot like Bonzi Wells, inconsistent shot but attacks the hole with physical abandon and is fiery. Snyder turns the ball over less than Bonzi. I think he is going to play a huge role for the Rox come playoff time.

Comparing Boki's athleticism to Snyder's is like comparing a RAV4 to an H-1 "It can go offroad too." A couple of dunks and everyone thinks Boki's the next Vince Carter. Yikes.

And don't even get me started on defense.

Why didn't JVG play him right away after he came back from the injury?

remember when just got back from the wrist and he played a fwe minutes...snyder was horrible. he had no real touch or feel for the ball. I think coach wanted him to improve that aspect of his game.

but snyder has worked hard and made the most of his minutes by playing hard, and actually playing relatively smart most of the time. play hard, play smart and get more minutes...funny how that works.

But snyder has improved a lot from the start of the year, lets not assume that b/c he's playing this well now he could have done so all the other times that he didnt play. He is actually showing a little shooting touch and he is making good passes to the right people at the right time. it would have been nice to see how much further he could have progressed if he never broke his wrist.

Snyder can play guard and forward effectively, Nachbar can only play backup small forward. Easy choice.

Jimmy always liked Snyder, Jimmy is pretty sold on Snyder, Jimmy not high on JVG, but Jimmy big on Snyder, JVG took the bread out of Snyder's mouth, Jimmy wants to take up for Snyder, because Jimmy thinks Bonzi is toast......

I like the fact that he plays D, gets to loose ball especially long rebounds, and can leap out of the gym, which helps him rebound. His up and down and up is quicker than anyone on the team. I would like to see him at the 3 with Tracy at the 2 and Battier at the 4.

If John Lucas the 1st can teach him to shoot consistently we have a mini stackhouse on our hand.

The dunk was ridiculous, I thought he to far away from the rim to throw it down.

Snyder's shot isn't going to be what it was for awhile due to that broken wrist, but even without that Kirk brings much to the table.
Come playoff time,I'd imagine his shooting will be better and we'll be seeing him play 22 - 25 minutes a night.

His athleticism and defense is much needed.Kirk will grab some boards too.

    The team is coming together.

    Bonzi will play eventually.

snyder is a very special player for rox.

he showed that we CAN play a slasher with yao, alot times, yao did not clog the lanes, instead, he made the lanes open, and yao's pretty good at finding the open man.

when both alson and head shoot below 30%, snyder should play.
when a guy like Tinsley is killing alson/head, snyder should play.
