He also said Denver, Utah, and the Lakers are contenders but the Rockets are not. Its hard to believe someone is actually getting paid to say stupid stuff like that.

Barkley and Kenny I don't take them seriously when it comes to commenting on the Rockets both like to the diss the Rockets anyway. I can understand it coming from Barkley but what is up with Kenny. I hope he gets booed when the Rockets host a 20th reunion for the first Championship. :D

I agree,no way we lose to Utah. We're just getting started.

They have to worry about matching up with us.
Yao is going to abuse them inside and the Jazz also don't have anyone to matchup with TMac.

The Jazz can't touch our D and our halfcourt game.

Williams will get his,but that's it.

I figure we will most likely overtake them for homecourt, but a large part of me wants us to destroy them in front of their pathetic fans and Larry Miller on National TV.

i think everyone is taking him waaaaaay too seriously. honestly i look at charles and i think he is trying to get tmac motivated. for the past several years its pretty clear that he likes tmac a lot going back to his orlando days and wants him to succeed. all this they cant do this they cant do that talk is probably more of a ploy to get tmac up and ready to prove everyone wrong. this year will be the first year that tracy is not a decided underdog in the playoffs, heck he could have home court for once so charles is trying to make sure he isnt complacent.

honestly deep down i think he really likes the rockets and wants them to do well outside of his early years in philly i hear him talk more about his time in houston than anything else. watch if the rockets go far this year in the playoffs charles will be happy

could be very true. he always seems to try to motivate tracy. i remember in the playoffs 2 yrs ago, he said tracy is the best player if he plays like that. i think he believes tracy can be, but just need to win for that validaiton.

Barkley is an idiot, and he's paid to be one. But he has a little semblence of a point here.

Don't forget, it's a 7-game series, and we're playing a Jerry Sloan coached team. If anything, I fear the reluctance of JVG to make drastic gameplan changes over the course of a series might be our downfall, especially against a coach of Sloan's calibre.

That line about the Honets sphincters tightening down the stretch was pretty damn funny. I'll never take him seriously as a commentator but I like Charles. His opinions are usually not based in any fact we currently have a split on the season series how could there be no chance of us beating them, I'm looking forward to a tough hard fought series, its going to be great.

I like Reggie's comments about Tinsley. They were pretty spot on. I am glad he is on the show but he needs to speak up more when Barkley or Kenny say something stupid about the Rockets. He should argue with them more because I know he doesn't believe half the stuff they say.

I agree, Barkley gets paid $1.5 million a year just to make baseless comments. He does make a point, we need home court.

man its so funny how everyone here thinks we're going to absolutely destroy the jazz. so what if they cant stop yao or tmac, as long as they limit our role players like dallas and phoenix then they can beat us easily. we however have no answer for carlos boozer or deron williams heck even C.J. miles had a career night against us. we're not going to destroy the jazz it'll be a very tough series with jazz being the slight favorite.

A lot of people think we're just going to steamroll them. That's not going to happen. They have a great front court in Boozer and Okur that will give Yao problems on defense because of their quickness and ability to step out and hit that jumper around 15 ft. Kirilenko will wear down T-Mac as the series goes on (although T-Mac will still get his). And they just have great perimeter play starting with Deron Williams. They are a good team and they have proven that by beating great teams this year. I still think the Rockets and their Defense prevail in 6 games.

the ONLY way you can wear down tmac in a playoff series is if HIS teammates don't show up and he has to always do everything. if yao steps up and does his thing, tmac doesn't have to do everything every quarter and this is what i expect.

this playoffs, yao will show the world, not just to houston and rocket fans, that he is for real.

and i think the athletic rookies of milsap or something of utah will give tmac more problems than kirilenko
