I tend to agree. They both have a high IQ of the game, especially Hubie. You can also tell both of them have done their homework on teams before they commentate a game unlike Barkley. Like for example, Collins discussed the eight and "half" man rotation with Synder, not something I would expect Barkley to talk about if he called the game...

well duh, im pretty sure everyone agrees with that.. but considering the fact that we have been getting hyped up about the utah series recently, thinking up scenarios on how to beat them, etc...

then charles, ie our neighbours annoying and rabies infected dog, comes out and blatantly says we cant beat them, i think that still strikes a nerve, even if we dont expect any love from him in the first place. i mean he didn't even say if we had a chance, just that we cant beat them

yea man i still think charles is hilarious (only reason i watch tnt overtime), but its still really annoying when he can give teams barely in the playoff so much praise, but cant give houston anything... and im pretty sure most of that hate is cause of yao

The biggest concern is Alston's unstable performance. It may hurt us during the playoffs.

The Jazz has much better records against the top 3 WC teams than the Rockets this season. So it's not unfounded.

I’d rather the Rockets play Utah in the first-round rather than the other top four seeded teams, as I feel the Rockets have the best opportunity to advance against them. However, that doesn’t change the fact that I grimace each time the Rockets face them. Utah is an enormously physical team—it’s not beyond reason to say that, perhaps at times, they deliver cheap-shots. I hate to think of having to play them in a seven-game series, but that’s how it is. I only hope serious injuries don’t occur.

As for Charles Barkley: Yes, his comments on Yao Ming and the Rockets in general are discouraging, but I find him endlessly entertaining and take most of his analysis with a smirk and a shrug. As a player, however, he is probably my all-time favorite—just amazing.

    Oh, get over yourself.

Charles doesn't have a gambling problem. Like he says, "It's my money, I can do whatever the hell I want with it." Besides, he can afford it.

Why is everyone so mad? Everything Barkley says is wrong: He said Pacers this year would over take Cavs by end of year....

Everything is wrong, so I hope he keeps picking us to lose all the way to a championship.

I'd love for the rockets to beat the jazz in round 1 just to see what type of excuses Chuck can come up with. Now that is what would really be funny.

it's okay to be mad but everyone here is overrating the rockets and underrating the jazz. the jazz have proven themselves against the top teams in the west. the rockets have proven themselves against.....the 76ers. its no secret we get dominated by the top in the west, and the jazz are a GREAT team with probably the best ball movement in the league i am not confident we'll win against them.

If he is so good at predicting, then he should have given up his dream of the ring years before his retirement. Obviously he had been predicting the wrong thing for his entire career.

Well our record against the top teams are somewhat skewed. We are even with Spurs and Jazz (not sure about the Jazz), and we gave Dallas a whooping to began the year. We lost the last 3 to Dallas without Yao, and we were competitive in two of the three. We have struggled against the Suns, but during the first lost, Tracy wasnt Tracy, and in the last Yao was coming back from an injury. Not giving the Rockets an excuse, but I dont think we have seen them at full speed all year.

exactly so before making claims of how dallas and san antonio can't stop us with yao, we have to prove it first.

i dont think we're better than the jazz i think we're very equal. the jazz have proven themselves as an elite team. this will be the most competitive playoff series in the first round. we all know the jazz will bring it but will the rockets?
