Rudy T. Was not included in the Top 10 NBA coaches of the century, but should he be included in the Top 30 or 50 coaches (all sports) of All time? In my humble opinion he belongs. Here is ESPN's 30.

    20. Weeb Ewbank, Football
    21. Fred Taylor, Basketball
    22. Sid Gillman, Football

"Rudy may be the best coach ever,"
Charles Barkley said. "I don't want to take anything away from other coaches, but from what I've seen up close - as a victim of his teams when I was in Phoenix and now here on the inside - Rudy is as good as anybody who's ever led a team. Rudy isn't a guy who forces his ego onto the team. He isn't really interested in having everybody take notice of what he's doing."

Tomjanovich entered his 29th consecutive season with the Rockets with a 322-200 regular season mark (.617) and 50-36 playoff record (.581) in his eight years as head coach. The Rockets have won both of their NBA World Championships during his tenure and the club has made the playoffs in six consecutive seasons.

I think he should be . . but man competition is tough. The Zen Master isn't in there either.

Maybe they not from the 90s

I wouldn't give much credence to a list that lists football coaches such as Weeb Ewbank and Sid Gillman and ignores Tom Landry. While I can't say that Rudy is a top 10 basketball coach right now I can definitely say if he can get this team back to a perrienial contender status over the next few years he will rate top 10 consideration.

I would say that he is one of the top 50 coaches in NBA basketball. We'll see if he really is one of the top 50 after a few seasons. He was a pretty good coach back then with Clyde and Hakeem. Now we'll really see what he's made of.

    Correction:

He is the top 50 in NBA basketball.
We'll see if he is in the top 50 of all time after the up and coming couple of seasons.

I'd put Rudy in the top 30 NBA coaches of all-time. Probably even in the top 20.
