This is a fantastic series that is going to be showing every episode of Season 1 from start to finish over the next 6 nights. Every night from tonight (Wednesday) until next Monday from 9-11pm CST they will be showing two episodes. If you haven't seen the show yet, check it out tonight. I missed the first two episodes, so I can't wait for tonight. Next Tuesday night at 9pm is Part II of the season finale. Part I was great! The show is based around a rogue cop that enforces the law with his own methods. He is a little dirty but still a good guy. It also revolves around the other detectives, patrol cops, and other cops in the station. It is really worth checking out. Do you watch the Shield?
dang that sucks... i've been wanting to watch "The Shield" but since I missed the first month's worth, i thought i would wait for one of FX's infamous weekend marathons... but these showing conflict with the conference finals, so i can't watch! guess i'll wait for the next go around!
Great quote from the Simpsons there....for those who don't know there is an episode of the Simpsons where Homer changes his name because a TV actor (from the fictional TV show Police Cops) who portrays a bumbling sidekick has the same name as him. When Homer goes to the TV studio to complain, the network bosses explain what the TV show was originally going to be which was Badge Patrol - a show involing high tech badges that laser beams. But the 'network idiots' didn't want it so they asked who was behind the badge. Police, Cops...Police Cops... A very funny episode which also features Bill Clinton trying to get off with Marge.
The Shield is awesome! That was quite an ending to last season! We are supposed to get a 10/11 episode run this spring and then one more season next year to finish up the series.
I started watching this like a month ago. They show reruns on channel 39 late Sunday night. I've only watched through the first season so far. I'm trying to catch up.
Been waiting forever for season 5 to come out on DVD, as I haven't seen it. Also, let me know when season 6 starts.

The 15 minute promosode is on Bud.tv: Spoiler It basically takes place during Lem's funeral, and they show flashbacks to Shane killing him, and other flashbacks as well, then it just goes to the Strike Team trying to find Guardo and Vic beating the **** out of a Salvadorean. This is a fantastic show, it is a close 2nd to 24 as my favorite. I have seen every episode, borrowed the 1st 2 form a friend, and then downloaded the rest on mininova. I guess this will be the official The Shield thread for this season.
