I guess no one is interested in Barber or Staley since I haven't received any proposals. Well, they will be on the block until I say otherwise so don't be afraid to propose any trades.

    Rocketman95,

I was going to try to pick up Ike Hilliard, but I didn't know who to waive in order to do so. Joe Jurevicius's emergence also had something to do with my passing over Hilliard. You may have a keeper though. I saw that you also picked up Garrison Hearst. Isn't it sort of ironic that I ask you to include Richardson instead of Barlow and then you pick up SF's currently starting RB. Garrison won't hold the job for much longer IMO, but you went from having only 1 semi-starting RB in Richardson to having a current starter in Hearst plus Richardson. I didn't even realize Hearst had been waived. Damn, Moss and Harrison are going to kick some ass. It seems your only problem now is your RB spot unless Richardson takes over in KC and produces like he is able to.

If any of you are wondering why I waived Plummer to pick up Galloway, it is because I believe that Jerry Jones will sign Jeff George pretty soon and if that happens Galloway automatically becomes a very valuable commodity. You can say what you will about George playing badly in the first two games, but it was purely because he didn't fit in Schottenheimer's West-Coast Offense. George loves to throw the deep ball and that is Galloway's specialty. If George signs on with another team, then I will simply waive Galloway again. I had to waive Plummer before Sunday anyway since I have to compensate for a couple of bye weeks this weekend.

I like my offense...Harrison, Moss, Freeman, plus Hearst, Richardson, Hilliard, Coles...any one may provide one score a week.

    Here comes an undefeated season!!!

    George doesn't fit in anywhere.

With my latest trade, here is how my last two trades actually look:

    I trade:

    Randy Moss
    Bill Schroeder
    Willie Jackson
    Tony Richardson

    I get:

    Corey Dillon
    Jamal Anderson
    Jerome Pathon
    Jerry Rice

Not too shabby in my opinion. I now have studs at all positions and have some ground to make up to end up winning this league. Good luck to everyone and watch your backs because I am moving on up. It isn't too likely that I will complete any more trades this season because I now like the way my team is set up. That doesn't mean I am not willing to complete any trades, but it would have to be a deal that blows me out of the water because I don't see many ways that I could improve my team now.

    FYI:

I am going to start a fantasy basketball league over at Sandbox/Sportline this year and all of you are invited to join. It will be a 10 team league and it will have a live draft. I want only active owners in the league. I do realize that some of you may have committments elsewhere as far as joining a basketball league, so join if you want. I would like to try to fill all the spots as quickly as possible once the league is started.

I will let you all know a couple of days before I start the league so that you will have forward notice.

Jamal Anderson went down on Atlanta's first offensive drive with what is being reported as a sprained left knee. The torn ACL he suffered 2 years ago involved his right knee, so that alleviated a little worry from my head for just trading for him. I was able to pick up Maurice Smith, Anderson's backup, just in case the injury is more severe. Smith already has 10 carries for 41 yards, and 1 catch for 29 yards in the second quarter of the ATL-ARZ game.

How dominant was New England's defensive unit today? Edgerrin James ends up with negative fantasy points this weekend. I never thought I would see that. Thank god I am playing the EJ owner this week in DVauthrin. Pathon still had a respectable game. That is good since I traded for him yesterday along with Anderson. Also part of that trade was Tiki Barber who scored a TD today, but also went down with a pulled hamstring on the TD run. Schroeder, also part of the deal, played his usual game and caught a TD pass.

Thomas, props for being alert and grabbing Antowain Smith before anyone else could get to him. I was able to grab Smith, but only because the AP story on Anderson popped up right when I had clicked on Yahoo's NFL section. I didn't waste much time in getting over to Sandbox.

I have a collection of 11 RB's & WR's, including superstar Priest Holmes (30+ pts this week :)) that are all available for trade. Depending on the players involved, I am willing to do a 2 or 3 for 1 swap for a superstar in return. Anyone looking for depth?

    My collection of RB's:

Holmes, Watters, Stewart, Goings, Jason Brookins, and Correll Buckhalter

    My collection of WR's:

Toomer, Connell, McCardell, Ismail, Derrick Alexander

This elevensome contributed to a combined total team score of over 150 points this week! :D

Yeah, I knew you'd be after him. Anderson is now done for the year with another torn ACL so that makes it even more crucial that I was able to grab him first. If not, I would have been trading Schroeder, Barber, and Staley for Pathon and an injured Anderson. IMO Smith looks like a Jamal Anderson clone but with more speed. Hopefully, I can expect production from him like this every weekend. It's unheard of for a RB to jump from nowhere to being the #9 ranked RB at Sandbox.

I had some more bad luck as Warrick Dunn is now going to be out for 3-4 weeks with a sprained foot. This sucks!

As you all can tell, I don't have a TE on my roster as I am looking to trade for one. I will try to acquire one by this weekend, so if you have an extra one you want to trade my way, let me know ASAP.

C'mon Owens, Garcia, and Cortez! All I need is 15 fantasy points from you three so that I can beat the 1st place team! Don't let me down! :)

What is wrong with you guys?

I woke up this morning and found an report over at ESPN Insider stating that Watters is out for at least 4 weeks and that there is a chance he could miss the remainder of the season if he opts for surgery on his injured shoulder. Holmgren was quoted as saying that Ricky's injured shoulder would heal a lot faster if he went ahead and had surgery. If he doesn't, then he will deal with lingering pain throughout the rest of the season. I went over to Sandbox fully expecting someone to have already picked up Shaun Alexander, Ricky's primary backup, and to my surprise he was available. I wondered why? I picked him up and then went over to Yahoo's NFL Section and saw that this news was first reported yesterday afternoon! Did no one else see this? Unbelieveable!

I am not trying to say this is the best pickup of the year or anything because Seattle does face Jacksonville, Miami and Denver in 3 of the next 4 weeks, but how can you leave a starting RB on waivers? Granted, if Watters does come back in a month and he reclaims his starting RB spot, then all of this is for nothing. I guess I was the only one willing to take a risk on Ricky opting for surgery.

    :)

By the way, I got my points last night and defeated David's Dominators 98-80. So, by my calculations I should move up to 5th place with a 2-1 record, but I still have the lowest amount of fantasy points among those with the same record. I vow not to lose another game this season!

    :)

Hey Ren, I really can't afford to part with Ron Dayne at this time. Aside from Faulk i'm never real sure how much my backs will be used. With Barber ailing a little i need to take advantage of that right now.

He will be out for 4-8 weeks and has decided not to have the surgery.

My team is showing loads of potential. I currently have 4 WRs ranked in the top 10. (Pathon, Rice, Booker, Owens) Garcia looked good last night @ Carolina and hooked up with Owens twice for TDs. Shaun Alexander exploded against Jacksonville's previously dominating defense. Maurice Smith gained a respectable 71 yds against a tough Chicago defense. Anthony Thomas looks to be the Bears' new starting RB and I was able to grab him off the wire yesterday. Barlow will have to wait a little longer, but will produce when Hearst inevitably gets injured. Dunn will be back in a week or two. Dillion has under-achieved the last two weeks against tough defenses and I expect him to do better than he has been. My depth at RB and WR is pretty good and for that reason I am looking to trade some players in a package for an instant upgrade at RB, WR, or TE. As you can tell, I do not have a TE on my roster and I am looking for one. Players available if the right deal comes along:

    Maurice Smith
    Shaun Alexander
    Anthony Thomas
    Kevan Barlow
    Curtis Conway
    Johnnie Morton
    Jerry Rice
    Marty Booker
    James Thrash

I know some of you are lacking depth and are being forced to play someone you would rather not play at one of your flex positions. I have more than enough depth and I have trouble making my flex selections each week. I got burned this weekend when I left Alexander and Booker on the bench and they scored 24 and 17 fantasy points respectively. I might not even start Dillon or Maurice Smith this weekend because of the way Rice, Pathon, and Booker have been playing lately.

Any fair offers will be considered.

Damn, you caught some tough luck this weekend. You and Thomas tied, but he won the matchup based on the tiebreaker. Since you both scored the same amount of TDs as a team (7), the tiebreaker then goes to the kicker with the most fantasy points for that week. Janikowski edged out your kicker 7-5. Tough break!

Yep....Losing close games in this league is becoming common place for me :( I don't think that there is more then about 15 points difference in my 3 losses.

My team is looking good except for the fact it has me as GM and started slow (mostly due to me as GM). Now all they have to do is win me my second game.

Eddie George for Tim Dwight and Ray Buchanan?

It is obvious that Ren has given up on the chance of winning this league and opted just to assemble a team of his favorite players. Even accounting for George's awful season up until this point, this trade is perplexing. I am just glad that he traded George to a team that is currently (1-3) and not one of the top teams. George was a 1st round pick and has yet to get going. Everyone knows he will. This is the second trade of the season so far that Joe Joe has obviously got the upper hand on. Anyway, good luck to both teams.
