So guys, we beat a young athletic and surging team in the Sixers. They've gone 8-2 in the last 10 games and have beaten the likes of Utah, Lakers and the Suns in that streak. Obviousl there in good form as hey make a run at the playoffs. Today we beat them by 50. F-I-F-T-Y and we get no mention in the Daily Dime........

    That's just how i like it :D

Seriously though, I'm getting some positive vibes from this group. I sense a huge playoff run and i'm very content with little or no media. It allows us to just concentrate on our game and surprise other teams.

    Keep it up boys!! :)

    Peace..

Excellent move by ESPN not mentioning us in the Daily Dime. We're invisible to the radar as if though we were crouching in Halo2. Exactly how I want it.

But for some reason I feel had we lost by 50 it would've been the topic of the week all over the sports world.

if we lost by 50.... i cant even begin to comprehend that thought, didnt watch the game but from reading comments and stuff, seems like the bench got a decent work out and did some good things, yeh i think its about time we unveiled our true strength to the rest of the league and make that final push for playoff positioning, i can feel us heading into the playoffs very strong with a positive, championship attitude and mentality. i dont mind being under the radar so far, but i think its time to show the league what we have to offer at full strength (tonights effort wasnt rox at full potential)

our main player Tmac has been cruising thru the regular season so far, im a firm believer that tmac still got a few extra levels he hasnt taken it to yet, he could start now slowly warming up to the playoffs where he'll really start tearing it up for playoff MVP :D Yaos solid and gives his all, starting to get it back, he'll be right for playoffs back into MVP form, battier provides such solid performance on both ends of the court and rafer has decided to start phase 2 of this plan, his been purposely missing a large percentage of 3s so far this season to trick opponents to leaving him open but with playoffs approaching his gonna start nailing his shots like he has been for last 3 games :D haha with luther mr ice cold clutch in the 4th quater, and juwan shooting something like 70% off the bench from past few games, extremely efficient bench scoring, deke getting enough rest after yao coming back and inclusion of t-sak, he will be ready to wag his finger throughout the playoffs plenty of times also, Bonzi is a huge x-factor but i havent got my hopes in him, be a nice surprise if he turns out to be super useful though in playoff time.

Man i just cant wait, just really excited to see this team step up their tough defense and execute fluidly in offense, i dunno i just got this feeling, premonition of DOMINATION haha, LETS GO ROXXXX! :D :D :D

Its not like we will sneak up on coaches or players. They know Yao is back and that he makes us much better. They know without Yao they would have had to come up with a solution for MAC anyways. This whole sneak attack thing must be some coping system for lack of props.

You mean teams actually scout each other and don't just rely on ESPN Daily dime for all their information?

    Shocking.

This is the thing I don't like about the sports media.

One guy can score alot and they spasm all over him like waterfall.
A team effort produces an incredible feat like this and they don't mention it.

Now watch and see which of the two they try to shove down your throats like a hot twinkie during the playoffs. I can't stand the Flavor Of The Week network.

I didn't know crouching makes you invisible... hmm... thanks! I'll be sure to use that next time I play.

    a blowout is a blowout...

even though Philly is hot, they are 15 games below .500

the other teams in the hunt for the 8th spot in the East are all hovering between 4-6 games below .500

Sixers are nowhere near the playoffs, but it was a fun victory for ROckets and their fans

Kobe scores 50 and ESPN News allows it to remain "breaking news" for 16 straight hours. We beat a hot team by 50 and we get a 15 sec blip at the end of yesterdays 30 min rotating show. Lets see:

    - a player scores "50" which occurs only about a half dozen times a season

    VS.

    - the third largest blowout at home in league history

    ESPN makes perfect sense.

i called NBA radio today and asked Kenny smith which he thought was more impressive a team winning by 50 or a player scoring 50, they first said the them, but then they changed their mind and said the player.

i'm tired of whining like this. kobe scored 50 two games in a row; the rockets blew out a team that's supposed to have allen iverson as its focal point and doesn't. the other a.i. is good but is still no superstar, so what's the big deal? andre miller isn't allen iverson....this was not an unexpected blowout. the 76ers were hot because they beat some east teams, cool.

personally i'm annoyed by the number of posts by rockets fans on Clutchfans whining about our power rankings position (the NBA one is based on one guy's opinions, biases and all...there's no need to point that out every week) or bashing tim legler for not putting yao in his top 5 mvp candidates. some people don't agree with you, get over it.

i should start new threads i guess. was there even a discussion about allen iverson getting a technical foul for running to the bench without saying a word to the ref? the technical foul policy in this league this season is ridiculous, inconsistent, and reminds me of conduct rules from when i was in middle schoolm, but i digress.

    ^^^^

the Rockets REALLY need to get out of the first round so this ten year old inferiority complex comes to an end...

    but I'm with you intersync....

Focus on your own team and forget what all the pundits, writers, and talking heads say... none of that matters... what matters is.....see sig below

Ronnie Nunn talked about that on NBA TV's "Making the Call." He said the refs really blew that one and was particularly mad that the ref nearest the play wasn't looking when AI got knocked to the ground in the first place. The technical's gonna be rescinded and the ref that called it will probably be reprimanded and fined.

Chill out, I'm only bashing Kobe; and it's not like I made his mom sleep with Satan. He is what he is, I'm just pointing out the obvious. (ie: pays media to obsess over him, hits people in the face, rapes teenage girls, etc)

Also, you think we're bad? You should go over to the Mavericks board and see how much they obsess over Hollinger's rankings and all the media attention the Phoenix Suns get. No matter how good or bad you are, these things matter to fans. Otherwise, there wouldn't be a lot to talk about.

For the same reason you'd read power rankings and daily dimes, to see what other people are saying about us.
