I've always had this idea for a sports bar/cafe:

The bar/cafe is divided into sections. Each section represents are region or team of the country, and has games playing in relation to these regions/teams. Workers in each section wear (as their uniforms) jerseys of these teams (or a made up team...keep reading).

There are managers of each section (the section's GM), and they are free to trade employees between sections. Depending on which section has the best sales (probably the hometown section), this predicts the "records." Then, when new hirings and stuff are needed, a "draft" is taken. For the draft, all of the managers get to look through the applications, and the team with the worst "record" gets to pick first, in order to try and boost sales.

This, of course, opens things up for situations like GMs "scouting" employees (worker evaluations), trades between "teams", awards (employee of the month = player of the month, MVP = employee of the year, sixth man = best part-time employee, rookie of the year, etc.), also, this opens up "fan suggestions" (where the customers feel free to comment on the employees, and suggest certain employees they would like to see in their area, thus influencing the GMs.

I don't know if/how completely this would work, but I've always had this idea, and I think it is brilliant.

Man, I wish they had this crap at where I worked. And they could drive up salaries. Holy ****.

I think I would go number 1 overall.
