Boston is hanging tough with a lot of solid teams and are beating some. I think I have to give most of the credit to their coach and The Truth, aka Paul Pierce, who's one of my favorite players in the league. The kid has heart.

I know it's too little too late, but these guys have my respect for not completely tanking it to get a better pick, which is something the pathetic Grizzlies have mastered.

Oh, btw, the Celtics just beat the Spurs at home, with several 'clutch' plays by The Truth.

I like their team. I hope they end up with Durant.

I think they would benefit more from an inside presence in Odom. Odom is a freak and he's a post player, which is something the Celtics need.

Of course, they can't go wrong with Durant either. I just think Odom is almost tailor-made for their needs (interior D, mostly).

The Celtics look to me like the kind of team that will be MUCH improved next year -- wouldn't be surprised to see them in the playoffs. They have a solid go-to guy in Pierce, and Al Jefferson is becoming quite a beast down low. Regardless of what happens in the draft, I expect them to hit .500 next season.

One good win does not make a good team...

Although I LOVE the fact they beat a full strength Spurs team.

Yeah I agree, it's just I plan on getting a Durant jersey and those other teams have ugly jerseys. (Bobcats, Memphis, Hawks, Bucks, Sonics) Wow... terrible.

    Odom? :p :D

Oden and Jefferson down low could be pretty beastly in a few years.

They almost beat Dallas in Dallas the other night as well.

But yeah, I do agree that Boston is capable of being on the same level as the Cavs or the Wizards or other teams in the East. Of course, they have to stay healthy first, this season was completely destroyed by injuries to key players. It would also help if they can add another inside presence.

Hopefully Oden will declare for the draft and they get a chance to pick him. I have always said that a dominant inside presence (primarily on the defensive end) is a 'stabilizing' force for any team, and that teams which lack that big man on the interior tend to fluctuate more so than others.

Heh! I just noticed that. :D

Odom is a nice player too, but I think they can settle for Oden. ;)

odom is the guy who doesn't always look like he's trying his hardest on the lakers.

oden is the guy who doesn't always look like he's trying his hardest on ohio state.

and the west is starting F up it's dominance. the celts beating the spurs and us, the spurs losing to milwaukee, utah losing to philly, detroit winning 5 in a row on the road against the west. seems like there's been a few other ridiculous upsets of top west teams by weak east teams (well not the pistons). come on west! (except for utah)
