I heard his house was worth between 2-3 million. I have no information to believe otherwise. I've never been there so I don't know. There wassome site that had home values and it had Yao's (they could look up anyone). Maybe it was bs, I personally don't care. I'm more concerned about these BBS stalkers and these killer cyber dogs this dude owns
The hcad site says 562,000. Not posting the link, though, hopefully the stalkers are too dense to find it...
Hmm, so stalking is something to be proud of these days? A person should get props for having the "balls" to camp out and secretely follow an athlete home, and take pictures with him and his mom? Maybe you should start using that line in the club. "What's up baby. Check out these pics of when I followed Yao Ming home. My life is the shiznit." I don't know what is more pathetic....the fact that you actually stalked Yao to take pictures, or the fact that you thought others would think it was cool. That's like me bragging about how much my farts stink.
I don't know if Yao still lives here, but this is an old article I found. http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1126765-8,00.html Da Fang landed in Houston more than a week before her son to clear the way for his arrival. On this, her first trip to America, she searched for a new family home. The real estate agent eventually led her to Windsor Park Lakes, a gated community carved out of old cattle pastures some 20 miles west of Houston. Inside the front gate, past the uniformed guards with their uniform smiles, the pristine neighborhood of faux-Mediterranean mansions exudes a sense of theme-park perfection that could have been lifted from The Truman Show. Da Fang settled on a $500,000, four-bedroom house that seemed perfect for a family of giantsand then spent half the night before Yao's arrival frantically cleaning it.
I believe you. I was shown something different. Maybe he upgraded his house (that's way too much) or maybe it was complete bs. I know what site you are talking about though and it's pretty much a lock to be right (I don't know how it could be wrong).DON'T POST THE LINK, we'll have these 3 clowns in front of Berkman's house tommorrow
I think following a guy to his house is pretty creepy. Those kids would have met my dogs if they showed up to my house without being invited.
It's more than not being classy. There should be a court order barring those dudes from being near Yao, Toyota Center, or anywhere near where the team goes. It's one thing to approach celebrities in public but no one wants punk stalkers following them and invading their privacy at home. You and your friends would be in the small .001 of a percent of people who are too selfish to realize the implications of their actions on others. Yao should have invited you guys to spend the night in his walk-in freezer if he had one.
You sound totally unrepentant. It wasn't a big deal to you. That's exactly the problem with all this. You and your friends apparently have no concept of what appropriate behavior is in respecting someone's privacy. Your friends invaded Yao and his Family's privacy plain and simple. Your friends were wrong no matter what your opinion is about it.
You guys are plain and simple RUDE and INCONSIDERATE. I went to UT, and I have to say I am embarrassed and sick to see another UT student/alum behave this way. Moreover, you didn't even realize how RUDE and INCONSIDERATE you had been. Worse is you are so proud of it. You are such an embarrassment!
I hope that someone stalks you and follows you and your family home at 1 am. And whatever the stalker does to you and your family after that, I could give two sh*ts about. The same goes for your pathetic friends.
Wow that's cheap. I was told that Houston's real estate price is pretty low, but I don't know Yao live in such a cheap house.
think before u speak dumba**, a few months ago i was at a frnds house and there was an armed robbery while i was there...this is no where close to anything like this...if anything, i would be most sensitive to a situation like this but u r takin this out of context... i have tlked to the guys in the pictures and the whole situation is nothing like u guys are makin it.
You still don't get it, do you ?? To ask your idol for an autograph, a photo together at a concert, at the stadium or in the public is okay and acceptable. But to stalk him so sneakily back to his home, intrude into his privacy, disturb him so late into the night and sort of coerce him into taking such photos is ethically wrong and not in the social norm. It could be criminal offense too. And to blatantly boast about this, taking pride and viewing it as an "achievement" is terribly terribly childish.
You still don't get it... Just a word of caution to you and your friends. Don't do this kind of stuff again. Most fans on this site are disgusted at how you harassed Yao. It is also for your own good -- you could end up being killed trespassing other's property at midnight.
