actually didn't allow the suns to run and gun that much up to half time pretty much contained everyone but barbosa... common 17pts off the bench they guy is getting everything he wants from 3 to penetration.
Agreed. Rockets are seriously lacking on any kind of speed and athleticism. Basketball IQ can only get you so far.
rockets play deny the paint defense. the suns shoot holes in our d because of it. damn, they really need to adjust, close out on shooters or something. its ridiculous. what a bad showing in the first half. at least we're within striking distance.
Our guards rush shots and panic on offense, so we end up playing a fast tempo even when the ball is in our court. We have to slow down and concentrate on executing our offense to have a chance to win. We let them run Yao into the floor when we play up tempo against them and he can't keep the pace. Even T-mac looks winded and beaten and it's only half time.
Juwan's been playing out of his mind these last two games. Hope he keeps it up. Such a consummate professional.
The Rox look a step slower than the Suns. Even when the Rox were making a run the Suns were still getting open shots, they were just missing the. Yao looks tired. I fear the second half is gonna be ugly.
He had had 27 pts, 22 rebs one game when we blew them out in Phoenix. Don't count him out yet. This game isn't over. The Suns are quite capable of blowing a 10 point lead.
Rafer can't shoot 3 today. Then he is no use. I think it's a perfect time to play Span. He has speed, good D and penetration. But he is coach's last choice.
I think they should keep lucas in the game, he's the only player that can remotely keep up with barborosa, rafer just cant keep up....and another thing...why doesnt yao shoot the ball when he has it...hes looking to pass too much...hes had several times when he was there one on one with #40 (i think thomas) but he didnt go at him...hes only taken like 4 attempts...and the last one...the rockets are playing the suns game...they rush their shots...they are playing right into the suns game...they should slow the game...suck the life out of it...make it a real slow boring game..that way they have a chance to win...or play their game and take out yao and put in a small lineup...but with yao...they really should slow the game down...hopefully the 2nd half will be better...
