Well, I like the word `fire,' " said coach Rudy Tomjanovich

LMAO! That is classic. That was way better than no comment.

Right now I am actually sympathizing with and for Kelvin I think he feels slightly intimidated by the "leading center position" that has been placed before him...I assume he is also feeling that not many people are supporting him at this point and have already predicted his failure for the season....I think he really has good intentions and wants to have a great season on his behalf as well as the teams. With Kelvin stating comments of that nature, I am almost positive he is indirectly lashing out...I think he feels backed into a corner and lack of support...His pride and ego right now are also keeping him from reaching out at his time of need to a mentor, team member,a coach or perhaps even a member of his family.....Kelvin is signaling a silent cry for the support of all the Houston Rockets Fans......Come guys let's support Kelvin and encourage a smooth transition for him...Please? :( This is the least we can do

If I wasn't against use of violence in general, I would really like to beat him up. Anybody ready to help (I am not 6'11... ;)).

He should feel backed into a corner, how many people make 7mil per? Of course no one made the Rockets give it to him. He has competition and I hope he responds. If he doesn't, maybe we'll get him the hell on.If he just brought as much as Elden Campbell brought it that would be an upgrade. We'll just have to see.

Its only a matter of time until either his brooding and selfish attitude, foul problems or injury prone body get in his way again this year. With that kind of approach to things in the real world you'd get yourself a pink-slip in this crumbling economy. Thank goodness for Cato, he grew up as a professional athlete with a guaranteed contract. Where is the "I'm glad to be back and healthy", where is the attendance at Rockie Mountain Review or "big man" camp this summer. What a complete LOSER!

Somebody has to give Blinebury some credit for that line. I thought it was hilarious. Or how about the following defeatist attitude? :

I think "I'm gonna be sick!" says how we all feel. Ms.Cato suggests that something is the least we could do - unfortunately, after those comments, it's more than any of us could do.

How can a man have so little competitive fire?

Does the CBA allow for renegotiation of contracts? I wonder if catodagimp could be suckered into signing an incentive-laden contract that would get him more money or a longer contract, but only if he averages 12 rb, 2.5 blocks, etc.

Or maybe Francis and the gang could write a book and read it to him?

    "The big-ass engine that could"

What an unbelievable, tragic waste of talent. I used to think Cato only needed a heart transplant, but now we know he needs a brain transplant as well.

Anyway, on to my top ten list of things that Kelvin is a bigger waste than:

    10. Hooters on a nun.
    .
    9. Trying to deal with Fegan.
    .
    8. A Club Med in Afghanistan.
    .
    7. A membership to Augusta National for Osama Bin Laden.
    .
    6. An ethics committe in Washington.
    .
    5. An icehouse in Salt Lake City.
    .
    4. A Soul Food restaraunt in Idaho.
    .
    3. Matt Maloney's contract.
    .
    2. Bill Clinton's vow of fidelity.
    .
    .
    1. Spending our time on this useless piece of flesh....Let's enjoy the ROCKETS who want to play the sport!

Do we have a shrink in the house? The more I hear and see of Cato, the more convinced I am that he's seriously depressed. I saw him at the Wizards game in DC last year and was struck by the way he carried himself. One way to look at it is that he's just a sphincter. The other way is that he's being a sphincter because he's depressed. Depression can be cured, but it takes the patient's cooperation, and it takes time, and I doubt the Rockets can do it for him. I think we should do what we can to make him feel loved and get him to play decently this season -- so that we can ship his ass out of here at the first opportunity.

Ha ha! My thoughts exactly. Way to go. The reaction was a little different when he wrote that last Hakeem article, wasn't it?

Maybe by "fire" he means a severe case of heartburn.

Smeg, Freak, it's hard to criticize the messenger for relaying what Cato said, himself.

Ms Cato 13, i am going to have to agree with you. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Cato about a month ago, and i must say that i was impressed with him as a person. If I was him I would do and say the same things. Everytime the mans turns around someone is dogging him what do you expect him to do be merry and take it  I think not. Go ahead Cato do what you do!!! I will be behind you this year, Along with my man Steve the Great:D

Wow, I'm speechless. Is this for real? Did those words actually come out of his mouth?

Perhaps we should enlist the services of this guy to help out with our dire predicament (courtesy of countingcrow's thread in the BBS Hangout)...

The Bulls have not signed Chandler or Curry yet. Is there any chance that someone there might still be interested in this waste of sperm?
