Apparently the Knicks were about to buy out Steve Francis but Jamal Crawford was injured, so that was scrapped.

Reports a year ago say JVG wanted to re-acquire Francis. Probably couldn't happen with that contract of Steve's. If Steve gets bought out this summer (not unlikely), maybe we can sign him up. Then we wouldn't need Mike James.

If only Steve and JVG can play nice.

Too late for this year, we need help now....but if Francis is available this summer, we should at least talk to him.

Jeez guys, I admitted missing those guys like a couple of pages and days ago. Modify my statement to say JVG era Rocket player if you wish (though yes Posey might be included, not sure if they overlapped or not).

Your are wasting your time, we already know KAS doesn't believe in those kinds of relationships being brought out of the closet. (with apologies to Rafer, just a joke)

Say whatever you want, I won't get involved in it. You guys talk about me but look at your maturity level. The hypoctical stuff that goes on with some of you is unbelievable.

I agree. It's just a message board and I don't what people say about me or how many ignore lists I make. :p

In some cases I will agree with that. I've distanced myself from the insults though (if you check my posts since that one thread). KingCheetah is trying to start garbage though. He's not trying to have a legit discussion or debate but rather attempt to get a rise out of me. I admitted I overreacted in that thread and let stupid internet stuff get under my skin and therefore look stupid. I can accept that.

You still have certain posters on this board who follow me around and try to incite something with me and to me that's super immature. As immature as I acted is as immature (and hypocritcal) as KingCheetah is. I've actually had a good discussion with SamFisher since then and he was one of the main people I was arguing with. He obviously got over it as did I.

Point being, what's the point of taking something that caused so much controversy before and try to rekindle it? Makes no sense to me, what about you?

This may become easier if Stevie Francis is released from the Knicks this off season, which was supposed to happen during the season if it was not for Jamal Crawfords injury. :)

You've made strong statements in this thread that are not true.

    This isn't true.

    Then prove it...

Should I even get into the part where you contradict yourself here? Did T-Mac force him out or was it the no trade clause?

    Please make up your mind.

If you are going to start threads and make bold statements claiming insider status expect to have to answer some questions in return.

I'm kinda in the middle on this. I'm not a fan of Mike James but looking at the condition of our backup PG position leads me to come to the realization that even he would be a tremendous improvement over what we are currently forced to work with. It would have been nice to have that familiar Mike James spark off the bench back minus the ego and attitude problems that seem to be "following" him around everywhere he goes.

Secondly, Rafer Alston has his well noted flaws as a basketball player but he also doesn't get enough credit for the things that he does well in my opinion. It has been stated many times by other posters that he happens to be the best that we have at the position so complaining about it really isn't going to help the situation because even the most diehard Rafer hater can see that more often than not, worse things happen to our offense when he goes to the bench than when he is in the game. He is our best PG...period. Like it or not, it is the reality that we must deal with. Unfortunately for him when he is having a bad game, there is nobody that can come in behind him and relieve him or pick him up so the snowball continues to roll down the mountain and get bigger.

Lastly, I don't see why Minny didn't just trade him, even if it would have been just a salary dump for them. The rumor was that the deal hinged around them wanting Juwan but they should have taken whatever expirings we were willing to give them like Bob Sura and whoever and maybe a 2nd round pick just to get out of that horrible contract they gave him. He isn't even playing much for them anymore. The last 7 games he has played 18 minutes or less and scored only 9, 7, 0, 0, 3, 2, and 2 points in the process. Kevin McHale really is an idiot of a GM. Now he has lost his minutes to Troy Hudson. They obviously don't want the guy anymore and don't have much use for him but they passed on the chance to dump him on somebody else.

Did you see Franchise tonight? Goes to the locker room with a busted hand and gets stitches in his shooting hand. Comes back out and hits a layup to bring his team within one with the busted hand with the stitches, then he comes back down and nails a 3 at the buzzer to win the game for the Knicks.

Boy, sure hope he don't keep that crap up, or they will be trading him for Ra Allen.

Sorry, but Francis would be killer on this team. Believe what you want.

Don't get me wrong, Steve is super talented but he also had 7 turnovers and if you watch NBA TV, look closely at his feet on the game winner. If you can watch it in slow motion. He slid and changed his pivot foot. He traveled at least twice and they missed it. Should have been turnover number 8 and a costly one at that right after that costly missed free throw that would have tied the game up. I'm glad they didn't call him on it because I have really been feeling sorry for the guy lately and this is good for him but he makes as many plays to lose games for you as he does to win them. But...he would definitely be an upgrade over JL3 and V-Span so I wouldn't have complained.

    JVG has BRAINWASHED Rockets fans.

    Get over this turnover nonsense.

Good lord Patrick Ewing traveled EVERY time he ever touched the ball in his career.

    Turnover nonsense!?
Wow...you don't think taking care of the basketball is important? Especially from a guy running your offense? Are you serious?

The only thing wrong with Francis is his coach.

He is in fact a lot better player than he was before.

He's matured and improved his game a lot.

He just doesn't get to be used properly (you should understand this seeing as how our coach does the same to some of his players).

Francis in fact was much better in Orlando than he ever was in Houston until he got pissy there. That team has always had horrible management and ownership.

Then he goes to the Knicks to the worst situation in the NBA last year.

Then this year he was hurt and Thomas won't use him right.

Regardless, if you actually watch him play, he still has all the game, plus now he gets it.

His bball IQ has increased a lot, he understands how to run the offense now, and actually has developed the natural sense of how to be a PG. He has also improved his shot selection.

His turnovers come from creating plays, something that EVERY playmaker in the game's history does is turn the ball over A LOT.

Rockets fans need to get this stupid JVG philosophy out of there damn ehads about the stupid turnovers.

It seems that JVg would bench Wade or Nash if he had them because of their "stupid turnovers."

What this team needs is a playmaker and finisher at PG, that has size and can run the offense and be the legit champion calibre 3rd guy.

That is definiflty Steve Francis, it is definitely not Mike James.
