As an Aggie I compare the Mavs, Spurs, and Rockets, to the Aggies, Horns, and Raiders... As an Aggie I have the utmost respect for UT, but I dont really want them to win. I dont really care if they do. As a Rocket fan I have the same feeling towards the Spurs. Horns=Spurs As an Aggie I despise Tech, they are trashy, use gimmicks in all facets of sports, I hate the city, etc... I never want them to win. I hate them. They are like aids on the face of the Big 12. Raiders=Mavs

lol on that, it seems to me that every time that dirk nowitzki does his gay pump fake and drive to the basket, the refs always call in favor of him, no matter how minimal the contact was, i think nowitzki is the biggest flopper in the whole entire nba history. if you don't believe me, watch a mavs game closely next time, and you'll probably see dirk go to the stripe like ten times for good defense...
Easy for me - the Mavs. The Spurs, for the most part, are pretty classy and go about winning the right way. The Mavs, with Cuban at the top, just ooze jerk. Cuban is a spoiled, classless, loud mouth, want-to-be jock that just b*tches and moans about everything. Nowitzki is a soft punk and, as their star, sets the "punk" tone for the rest of the team. The only thing that makes the Mavs remotely tolerable (a true overstatement) is Avery, who consequently is former Spur and Rocket. I dislike the Spurs because of what the do to the Rockets on the court. I HATE the Mavs to the core because of who and what they are (are aren't to be more exact).
Speak for yourself, dude. I loved the Francis years. That's when my obsession started. I have almost every Rockets win from the Francis era on tape and sometimes I go back and watch some of the more exciting ones. Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley were my idols for the longest time. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we're winning now...but those years certainly weren't a "waste" for me by any stretch of the imagination.
What? Josh, I am a tall arrogant punk, Howard is the biggest playing reason to despise the Mavs (though Stack and Terry are awfully punkish too). Bruce Bowen is also one of my most disliked players in the league. I don't like French Wuss nor Manu's flopping, but I do respect Manu’s aggressiveness to the hoop and all out effort to win games. I guess I still prefer the Mavs, but barely. The Spers and their fans and media or so sanctimonious and self-righteous "we are so classy, our ____ don't stink, bla, bla, bla"—kinda overshadows the extra punkiness of the Mavs and their owner. If it isn't the Rockets, so long as the Mavs, Spurs, Jazz and Lakers don't win, I'll be OK with it.
the spurs are definitely more classy than the mavs' arrogance. i really can't stand dirk, josh howard, and that pretentious jason terry acting like their all that after they just blew the championship to the miami heat...
Owned by Tech? Ya true. But once again it only justifies my stance. The Mavs have owned the Rockets as of late. And the Spurs-Rocks have had a balanced series similar to the Ags/Texas match up which including football leaves the the series at 4-3 in UTs favor over the past 2 years...

That's what I'm saying though. The Francis years were a waste for us because he's no longer with us. That's when I respected the team more than anything. Even though they kept losing, they fought night in and out. I loved Francis and Cato. Ever since I've then I've been bittersweet. They've changed the entire look of this team with whatever the hell JVG has done. I'm satisfied now, so can't complain, but it's an entire different outlook, that's all.

I used to like both, but now I hate the mavs, I like the spurs, except when they are playing vs the rockets That is because (maybe) Im not from Texas and I dont feel and I dont know the Texas teams rivalry.
I can't decide which one is more evil before I read the whole thread. Now, I know. F*** all mav fans.
