Rupert Murdoch doing fundraisers for Hilary Clinton, Soros buying shares in Haliburton. It's not about left or right, just money, period. Thank God I'm a moderate.

yeah, it is a newsflash to me about Soros.

and being a moderate means I can see the hypocrites on the left and the right.

I don't think its being a hypocrite. He's just a smart businessman and knows which stock is likely to appreciate. Thus he eventually will have more money to contribute to the DNC.

No one ever said that you can't do business with your enemies. You don't have to get along, all you have to do is make money.

I can't help but feel there is something wrong with this statement or something about it is not kosher to me. Since my mind can't put it together right now, I'll just nod my head and agree with you but, rest assured I'm not happy about it :D

It does make it easier though, no?

BTW, I actually don't know much about Soros other than that I've heard he's a huge liberal who funds moveon.org which is supposed to be against companies that profit off of Iraq. If i'm wrong about their stance on companies that are profiteering off Iraq, then please correct me.

I never heard he's ruined nations before though, that's uh kinda big charge.

I'm willing to bat for both teams when it comes to making money. That doesn't mean I won't criticize them though. And as for Soros. He's someone I whole heartedly disagree on his politics, but I really admire him as an investor.

Indeed, libpig elitists like Soros are the reason they are never trusted by the American people to run this country.

He's an interesting guy in terms of what he's been involved in. Interestingly, he basically admits to screwing with developing countries while at the same time saying it's a bad thing. From that Wiki page:

Despite working as an investor and currency speculator (his fortune in 2004 was estimated at US$ 7 billion), he argues that the current system of financial speculation undermines healthy economic development in many underdeveloped countries. Soros blames many of the world's problems on the failures inherent in what he characterizes as market fundamentalism.

    ...

Soros draws a distinction between being a participant in the market and working to change the rules that market participants must follow. Responding to accusations of being personally responsible for many financial collapses, including those in England, Eastern Europe, and Thailand, he stated, "As a market participant, I don't need to be concerned with the consequences of my [financial] actions."

    Soros is essential saying

"Don't hate the playa, hate the game"

As the player he has to do whats in his best interest. But he is trying to changing the rules of the game that he is playing in.

Warren Buffet is much the same way. He doesn't pay a single penny of tax that he doesn't have to but he thinks the latest tax cuts that benefit him personally are bad for the country and business.
