I have moved up one day in the league (no games yet, taking things slow in the beginning).

Nothing happened for any other clubs than Farnborough (DVAuthrin):

Rushden & Diamonds offer £60K for Lenny Piper.
Bristol Rovers offer £35K for Michael Warner.
Enfield offer £16K for Barry Laker.
Frickley offer £16K for Barry Laker.

Laker Status: Backup, contract expires in 2004. Value £16K.
Is flattered by the interest shown. Thinks Farnbourough has a good dressing room atmosphere and is happy to stay.

Warner Status: First team, contract expires in 2004. Value £28K.
Thinks Farnbourough has a good atmosphere and is proud to be play for the team. Enjoing his stay.

Piper Status: First team, contract expires in 2005. Has a relegation clause. Value £50K.
Entusiastic about is future at Farnbourough

I have to go to work now - we will discuss your options later DV. (Accept, Refuse, Negotiate)

Heath, since you are slowly starting this i am gonna give you my first moves.

i want you to use the player search thingie to look for my new prospects.

i would apprciate it if you set the filters to no contract, and make an offer to every player that falls into both the 19-25year old catagory, and the under 21 catagory.

make all the offers NOT public, and even send the offer if the players value is well above my available limit.

there should be only like 12 or so players, so its no biggie

Also, please do a player search for Samual collin, and make an offer on him

    peace

I have typed up one big new post twice just to lose it - damn my ISP - so this time I'm divinding it up:

    Breese: Try http://www.sportsinteractive.co.uk or http://www.eidos.com

VOR: The search found 21 players. I'm not signing 21 players so I added players interested to play for you, and then I found ZERO. I also found the player you wanted, but he had already agreed to go to Falkirk (Scottish League). What do you want me to do?

Scouts: I have set all scouts to search for youth players so far, and I will not yet introduce scouting options. Will figure out how to do it later.

SF3: You do not have a transfer fund so you can not offer money for players. Only 3 teams have transfer funds at the moment. The others will have to sell until they get a transfer fund. The managers with a transfer fund are VOR (£180K), DV (£100K) and Boville (£110K)

Have moved up a couple more days - Current date: July 17th

    News:

    16/7

    DV:
Moor Green offered 2K for Tim O'Shea (Reserves)
Status: Uncertain (He does not know his team status, and wants to know - you could set him to these options: Key, First Team, Backup, Not Needed), Manager Release Clause (£0 K)
    Future: Wants Clarification (See above)

DV - to move up more than 1 day at a time I had to make a decision for you. The options were - Accept, Reject, Negotiate, Delay. I will most likely never accept an offer if I'm not told to accept incoming offers for so and so player. So I tried to delay the decision. After I did that Moor Green lost interest. Sorry if you wanted him sold. There will hopefully be more offers later.

    Franchise:
Bradford offer Steve Davis a job as a coach.
Status: First team, Manager Release Clause (£0 K)
    Future: Good Atmosphere/Happy

You have no option as this offer activates Steve Davis release clause, so the player will make the decision if he wants to stay or not.

    DV:
Enfield & Frickley both agreed to increase their offers to £20 K. What do you want now? Accept, Reject, Delay.

If you reject I can give a reason: Offer unacceptable, Players is an improtant first team player (will change his info from backup to first teamer so the player will expect a bigger role) or no reason.

    Franchise:
Steve Davis is offered a job from Wycombe also.

    Haven:
Andy Walker will be out for about 10 days. He suffer a chest injury suring a training incident. (season is 1 month away)

Most teams have a friendly game coming up 18/7 and I'll play those very soon (Firing up the game in a little while). If no roster is set I'll just do the lineup for you guys. The friendlies are just for testing players anyway. The friendlies also use 9 subs, and I can use most of them/all of them so you get to see how most of them did.

Chester played a friendly game against Scunthorpe (div 3 team)at home.

As BGM had not set his roster yet I picked the 11 guys that make up as first team (and key) players to be the starters.

    Chester - Scunthorpe 1-0
    Porter 57

Chester stats: As this is the first game I can do a little extra - I'm not doing this each time...

    Standard 4-4-2

    GK - Brown -- 7 - (sub 45)
    DR - S Rose -- 8 - MoM
    DL - M Rose -- 6 - (sub 76)
    DC - Spink -- 6 - (sub 76)
    DC - Ruffen -- 8 - (captain)
    MC - Porter -- 8
    MR - Blackburn -- 6
    MC - Wright -- 6 - Yellow card (YC), (sub 45)
    FC - Haarhoff -- 7
    FC - Malkin -- 6 (sub 66)
    ML - Croft -- 6 (sub 66)

    SB1 - Lancaster -- 7 (on 76)
    SB2 - Cooper -- 6 (on 66)
    SB3 - Beesley -- 6 (on 66)
    SB4 - Mackin -- 7 (on 45)
    SB5 - Hill
    SB6 - Kerr
    SB7 - Ruscoe -- 5 (on 45)
    SB8 - Williams
    SB9 - Woodyat -- 6 (on76)

I subbed a lot so you would get the players tested. I even had Cooper come on for a tired Croft to play leftfield (Cooper is primary a rightfield player) This should prove that players can be very versatile... you just need to test them out if you need someone to play a position. (Versatility is a hidden attribute)

The number is their grade (from 1 to 10). Stephen Rose was the Man of the Match (MoM)

Updated team pages with some friendly game results.

We have now moved all the way to 22/7.

    Some news:

    20/7

Zac: Celtenham offer 2K for Fish. Offer rejected as an unacceptable offer.

    21/7

VOR: Jamie Murphy will be out for about 2 weeks after he suffered a gashed leg in Morecambes 0-0 friendly draw against Omagh

    22/7

boville: Scout Dave Protheroe recommends two youth players as excellent prospect for the future. As discussed in chat I made offers to sign them both.

haven: Your match vs Boston Utd have been moved to the morning for live television coverage.

Zac: Heaton resumes light training. Will be back to full strenght in a week.
Scout Tony Davidsons recommends a good prospect for the future. (A 19 yr old D RC)
    Cheltenham bid 3K for Fish.
    Shrewsbury bid 3K for Fish.

I will introduce training options now. At the moment all your players are following a general training (not goalkeepers they have their own GK training)

    The training options:

    Name -- Skill -- Fitness -- Shooting -- Tactic
    General -- Normal -- Normal -- Normal -- Normal
    Skill -- Hard -- Light -- Light -- Light
    Fitness -- Light -- Hard -- Light -- Light
    Shooting -- Light -- Light -- Hard -- Light
    Tactic -- Light -- Light -- Light -- Hard

You can also have your own training system: Example you want you players to concentrate about their fitness and skills you could a traing like this:

    Custom 1 -- Hard -- Normal -- Light-- Light

(you can also set all to hard/high if you want, but the players will be tired and not ready to play games. )

As I have no friendlies or games to play I will let most of my players concentrate on their fitness level. Post your training options in the roster thread. Edit as you see fit.

I just started to make this league better :)

I am now adding screensshots, so everybody can get a better feel for their team. I can not be adding every screenshot in the game, so those of you that have downloaded the demo could help me chose what screenshots you want. I will later decide how many screenshots I can give, and how often I will update them. I will be adding more examples to the page later.

So keep those suggestions coming. We will mold this league as we go along.
