    congrats to deke!

he's having an amazing season. i hope he wins a rings with us! he's one of my fav all time rockets.

on a side note: too bad jon barry didn't stick around here longer. he would've been on everyones fav all time rocket list.

Mutumbo is my favorite player after TMac & Yao on the team.

Guys 20 years younger probably could not do what he did.

j.feigen is a tool. he got that stat off espn, which everone knows. nothing insightful. now if he can name the second oldest player behind deke to have a 20+rebound game.

How old is Cliffy Robinson now? After Deke having the best rebounding night as a 40 year old, it won't be long until Cliffy has the most horrible rebounding night as a 40 year old.

Deke was fantastic last night and I certainly hope he ends his career as a Rocket. Do you guys think he has any chance of getting his jersey retired here if he plays with us another year or two? He has only been here a few years but the fans here certainly love him and while he may not rank among the greats Dream, Wilt, Kareem and Russell or even Robinson and Ewing, he is still an all time great defensive center. And of course, he's the only Rocket ever to be recognized by the President during a state of the union address. That has to count for something!

As a side note, I'm also very pleased with the play of Tsakalidas. It's funny how teams just keep giving us these 7'2 big men they consider worthless then have to watch them thrive with us. :D

I wonder how the backup center position will work itself out for the rest of the season and next. Both Deke and Jake are free agents, and Rockets have Bird Rights on both of them. I don't think either of them want to be third string, so at least one of them will have to go. Also, both are capable bigs and I think the Rockets will have to pay fair value for either of them.

It should be interesting to see how that works itself out.

The only negative here is he took away the record for oldest player to get 20 rebounds from Hakeem.

He cheated: he inflated his stats when he had those 4 or 5 offensive rebounds in a row and kept missing ! :D

stuffed away by opponent players. Somebody tells him to learn to tip it to the rim! You got the chance to tip the rock in and one rebound count!

Congrats to Deke (I'm not evey going to try to spell out his full name.) I love the quote in the Chron about how he felt he let himself and the team down and came out and played with pride. That's a great example for everyone.
