Let's see here...

Start of season

We had so many problems back then. We were missing free throws, turning the ball over a whole lot, played crappy defense, and our entire fourth quarter was a disaster.

A little while back

Still a lot of problems. Still missing free throws, still turning the ball over, defense a bit better but still crappy, but only final couple of minutes is a disaster.

NOW

Turnovers are getting lower and lower(finally), free throws getting good, defense is naturally better, and only the las minute is a disaster.

FUTURE

Rudy changes strategy into playing a team game, instead of cuttino taking it 1 on 1. Hakeem helps us tremendously in the fourth quarter. The Rockets start winning some games.

CONCLUSION

So you see, we are getting better. We are almost beating some good teams right now, and we're doing this without Hakeem in the lineup. We just can't seem to get over that hump, but I feel it will come very soon. If we're not over the hump by the time Hakeem returns, then he will surely help us get over the hump. Now all we need is to get a better team game going, and we are all right. As long as we keep our turnovers down, our free throw % high, and play hard on defense, we will be all right.

I agree that progress is being made - in fact I think we are overacheiving considering the circumstances, BUT...

There is a HUGE difference between almost beating good teams and actually beating them. Its what separates good teams and bad teams.
