who knows, VSpan might have been fouled out by that time...

sure, and sit down Bonzi for missing FTs, hell just sit down all the starters to prove a point...

I'm not whining and you ought to simmer down. Are you 15 yrs old? Do you run around the house telling people to shut up?

Like I said in my original post every game is important. It isn't is T-Mac doesn't get called out for having "melo-dramatic injuries". Im not a T-Mac hater just spreading the love from the whose to blame game.

You come to realize very quickly how important Tracy Mc Grady is to this team!
For the pluses and minuses we lost this game because:-

    Rafer Alston 1-11........ 1- 10 3pts
    Shane Battier 1-12........ 0- 5 3pts
    Luther Head 3-11.... .... 0- 6 3pts

    COMBINED 5-34.....14.7% 1-21 3pts........4%
    Enough said!

How much more Rafer and Head have to suck in order to try something new?
This is not one game. There has been several games where Head plays terrible. His shooting is prety much irrelevant when he plays the point.

I don't think V-Span makes a difference in this game. The problem wasn't who Van Gundy did or didn't play. The problem was that the players out there quit trying in the 4th quarter.

Maybe Yao and T-Mac returning to the lineup is all it'll take to right the ship. But in the meantime, they've blown some games over the last month that they should've easily won. Denver, Atlanta, and Boston were all losses that will haunt them down the stretch if they finish only a handful of games behind Utah.

This is JVG greatest problem he either can't see it or just refuses to do anything about it.

    JLIII...creating for his teammates?!?...ROFL...

VSpan...MAYBE...but if we made our open 3's this would be a moot point and we win this game...simple as that...

    Guys....seriously.

I know it was a frustrating loss.. but the Rockets are going to be fine.

Yes, it is ugly without our two best players, but when it matters most those two guys will be on the floor.

We are a team built around great defense and the best one/two inside outside scoring combination in the league whether you like it or not. When these two guys are not in the lineup we're obviously going to have a very difficult time scoring the ball. Bonzi was brought in in the event of a night like tonight when both Tracy and Yao are out. He did his part, but Head, Alston, and Battier really let the team down tonight.

That being said, the game is over and there is no sense in b!!tching about individual player's performances tonight. It wouldn't be fair. Their jobs are to play off of Tracy and Yao, and they are clearly not equipped to play well enough without these two great players. They played hard, but obviously not well enough, but you have to look at the positives. Bonzi was as active as I've seen him since he's been a Rocket. It even looks as though he's in decent shape. His season is about to turn around.

Patience Rockets' fans. This game will be meaningless come playoff time when both Yao and Tracy are in the lineup doing their thing and making other players better. It won't be long fellas.

yeah you have some good points sometimes i get frustrated .but rafer just plays bad when he has to initiated all of the offence and is out of control when t-mac or yao is not playing.and yeah luther is a bad point guard but hey they see vspan all the time in training so if he was that good they would play him.v span just need to adapt,it will take some time but not this year .i truly believe that he will contribute in the future

The only way to correct this loss is later, win a game you were supposed to lose. It is pretty embarrassing to lose at the hands of Paul Pierce...a big-mac in one hand and j-ing up a 3 ball in the other

I don't know if I can take anything you say seriously anymore after these statements.

I was at the game, and I counted at least 6 times where Bonzi swung the ball out of the double team to an open Shane/Rafer, hard to assist when no one else can hit a shot.

    JL3? I don't need to say anything.

Fuzzy, as often as Bonzi had the ball, he ended up with 3 assists and 4 turnovers.....which is pretty good, but not really creating for his teamates.

He did have one GREAT pass to Hayes on a cut....but the Rockets stopped cutting, or rather took out Hayes...

As for JL3 he would have provided dribble penetration.....which is something the team needed DESPERATLY tonight.

It's NOT meaningless. They're 2 back of Utah right now. For a franchise that hasn't won a playoff series in 10 years and has a lameduck coach, it's paramount that they at the very least get out of the first round. And in order to do that, they need every advantage they can get. And if a loss like this costs them home court against Utah, then it most definitely won't be looked at as "meaningless".

Amazing how one man makes a difference. T-Mac is the MVP bar none. With him, title contenders: Without him, favorites for the Oden sweepstakes.

Had we had so much as a mediocre game we would've won.

That's just a contradiction right there. If the guys out there quit, then it's up to JVG to put people in who won't quit, ie vspan! This loss is all jvg tonight and rafer.
