I just got a new laptop that has Google desktop installed. For those unaware, Google desktop presents at the side of the computer screen and had "gadgets" that might be helpful and allow easy access.

The current gadgets I have up are News, Weather, Scratch Pad for notes, and the old-school ticking hands clock

Several Google gadgets are available to download.

My question is, Do you have any gadgets that you particularly like or find useful?

I am thinking of downloading the Birthday alert gadget as I always seem to forget people's B-days.

    Thanks.

I hate them all, Google Desktop was the only useful one but Vista and OSX now have the same search feature built in so its worthless now.

I didn't find it useful and really didn't like it so I uninstalled.

I wrote my own gadget that displays my del.icio.us bookmarks in a tree view on my Google desktop. It's super cool.

(okay... I didn't write it... I took somebody else's core code and adapted it to what I wanted... close enough)
