It's bad enough they, at least once per year {this year it was the game vs the sonics} , only give us the 2nd half of the game and now this BS!

Why schedule a game on a Sunday if you aren't going to be able to broadcast it live because of the stupid ABC restrictions?

So I have a question... on Sun Mar 11th... will everyone in the country get the Rockets/Magic game on ABC? And on the 25th, will it be the same thing?

So long as ABC doesn't drop it for Denver at Sacramento. The networks occasional swap out which games they want to televise at the last minute. If LeBron broke his ankle and missed the rest of the regular season, ABC would be dropping the Cavs left and right.

Exactly. And for those out of the Houston market, on those Sunday's in which ABC is doing regional telecasts, the games that are NOT shown in a particular market dont end up going to NBA LP. They basically get treated is not shown to those other markets.

So, for those of us in the East, we might end up getting to see some East teams on the day of a Rockets regional telecast, and can't get a chance to see the Rockets because of it. Sucks!

Thanks for the explanations Duece and ElPigto.

I guess ABC would rather show Lebron and the Cavs vs. the Wadeless Heat (which is a bad team by the way) rather than the Rockets (who have a better record than either the Cavs or Heat along with MVP canidate Tracy McGrady) vs. the Magic (who are battling for a playoff spot and sport one of the most promising big men in the game in Dwight "Stickerman" Howard.

Blah, I guess I will slightly enjoy seeing Shaq show his age and inability to carry a team.

On a side note maybe you can amaze your non-hardcore Rocket fan friends by listening to the game on the radio and then tricking them into thinking you are a God by predicting what happens throughout the televised game that they think is live.

So just to be clear -- the Rockets/Magic game this Sunday is NOT going to be televised on ABC anywhere (I live in Dallas, not Houston)? Our only way to watch it will be the tape delay on FSN/NBALP?

Hahaha, don't get a head of yourself, man. They haven't dropped the game yet...

Why would the Magic schedule the game at that time? Can't they change the game time?

I don't think it will even be on LP even delayed, at least it doesn't show it on the LP schedule as such....yet.

I hope it is delayed, I will just wait until 5pm Sunday and hope it shows up on broadband.

from the first post of this thread of David Barron's article: "The Magic leave after the game for a road trip, so the team wasn't interested in moving the start time outside the ABC window."

i remember that Sonics/Rockets game in which they did not show, if i remember correctly, NBC apologized off their ass to Houston and they said that they would show the game kinda like picture in picture to the game they were showing here. The weird thing was that they WERE showing it on NBC in other Regions EXCEPT for Houston, which was really odd. So whatever game they were showing, they would have a little window for the the Rockets game with constant updates.

Anyone know if it will be on TVU player or somewhere online?

Also, does anyone else hate having LeBron James and the Cavs shoved down our throat? Really, does anyone want to watch the worst shooting team in the NBA just because of James?
