The "Gulf Coast Offense" would then have changed football? (Or am I getting it wrong on which 9ers coach did that?)

I think you got the right coach.

For what its worth, Justices blog mentions ESPNs mock drafting having Quinn going to the Texans at 8...

''Quinn is the toughest prospect to place on the board right now,'' McShay writes. ''He could still be the top overall pick to the Raiders, but it's also feasible he could slip all the way to the Panthers at pick No. 14. David Carr, the 2002 top pick, has clearly fallen out of favor with the Texans, so they would find it tough to pass on Quinn if he's available here.''

I wonder if there is some evil fate that would make Quinn a 1st round pick of the Texans after they kept carr and passed on VY.

I don't see it happening. Him falling that far or us taking him.

This time around, if they decide to draft a QB, they better find a way to protect him. I have no problem with Quinn, but if he has to deal with what Carr dealt with, it'd just be a waste of a pick.

After plugging in all the data and information into the super computer, I have found the perfect qb for the Texans

Please, no thanks needed... Just git-r-done Texans

Well he does have extensive experience of being pummeled behind a nonexistent offensive line...

You're right. Two random guys on the internet know more than people who are being paid millions collectively to do this sort of thing.

I'm not saying they're above criticism, but this arrogance from some fans is maddening. Newsflash. There's a reason you all are posting on an internet message board instead of being asked to run a football team.

while i'm unconvinced about the Texans' front office, i'm certain that Rocketman95 "leadership doesn't exist" knows nothing.

Nice ad hominem. By the way, it was Ric that argued that "leadership doesn't exist", not RM95.

i apologize to Rockrtman95 for my error.

saying you have to know more than the front office to proffer a criticism is silly. I may not be a gourmet chef but i can tell a crap meal.

i placed "knows" in quotes to indicate its being used in the context of the post i responded to ...

If anyone actually said that, it would indeed be ridiculous. But the post to which you responded said, "I'm not saying they're above criticism."

"There's a reason you all are posting on an internet message board instead of being asked to run a football team." ... it is what it is.
