I know it's a little late but thought some of y'all would like to see some pics from the weekend. I really wanted to be able to get pics with Tmac and Yao, but the times I saw them they were surrounded by NBA people and instantly swarms of people surrounded them. My friend asked Tmac to sign his ball but he said he had to do something and was escorted to the door by a bunch of officials. There was no shot at getting a shot with Yao. I saw him right when he entered into the Jam Session and within a minute there was a HUGE swarm of people following him. Rafer was really nice and a lot smaller than I thought he would be. I told him to stop taking those damn tear drops because they only go in like 18% of the time (ok, I didn't say that). I think I was the only person in the arena who knew who CD was. My coworker was really impressed that I knew what the GM looked like and was asking me if I knew the water boy, trainer, etc..sadly I can probably recognize most of them.
Hall of Famer, Sam Jones. He was working near our booth and I spent a few hours talking to him. Lots of cool stories. He said Yao's not mean and needs to get mean. Same with Tmac. Said Rudy was his buddy and also really liked Calvin. Someone stole the ball from the Lebron figure. Some of the Allstar dancers. More. They just wouldn't stay away from me...
....I happen to be in town on short notice for a computer conference but I didn't go to the game. I did however see every wannabee gangster in a 800 mile radius descend upon the strip. The All Thug Game must have also been in town too...
Wish I could find I reason to hate you!! You are a lucky hombre!! Did the bouncers tell you not to touch the girls or they would throw you out?
read the bill simmons "hip hop woodstock" article on ESPN.com page 2....its gives a pretrty hilarious description of this phenomenon.
