    Lakisha had thrown "down the gauntlet" according to Simon Cowell. We got to vote for Houston's own.

    Of course, I am biased. :) She is a part of my church family, Abundant Life Cathedral.

    also, i think the doolittle chick was heads and tails above the rest. she was my pick from the beginning.

    She just moved to Flint in July, but was a receptionist at our church and sang in the choir for years. We had a special viewing at the cathedral to view her. We still consider her family.

    She has an increadible singing voice. Blows everyone else out of the water. If she doesn't win, it will be a travesty.

    I knew the name sounded familiar when I read the thread title. Her voice was NOT good during Gimme the Mike. She cam in 2nd because she was CRAZY on stage and that made her live performance better. Her voice was all over the place, though. Based on the Youtube clip she is amazingly better.

    I think she has a great voice but really didn't do "I'm not going" the justice that she could have.

    She is good but Karen Clarke Sheard is a little bit of a stretch...for now.

    I love her story and humility and I truly hope she does well.
