    Morris Almond
    6'6 215lbs
    Shooting Guard
    Rice University
    Senior

Excellent shooter with both mid-range and legit NBA 3 point range. Moves well without the ball. Can drive to the basket and draw fouls. Excellent free throw shooter. Good body strength and should be a 5 rebound per game type player. Average defender and average athlete. Ball handling needs to improve.

    Derrick Byars
    6'7 220lbs
    Shooting Guard/Small Forward
    Vanderbilt University
    Senior

Very good athlete with size and strength. Can handle the ball and play both guard positions and small forward. Has NBA 3 point range. Good defensively, good passer, and good rebounder. Has body strength and hops. Tools across the board are all solid. Needs to work on mid-range game more. Average free throw shooter.

Who do you take? The scoring specialist or the jack of all trades?

:( Congrats. I figured the Gators were in for at least one more loss before March Madness. Actually I was hoping for one, I just wish it wasn't this bad! Byars was incredible. I literally felt nauseous when it was all but over.

I've got to say it's tough to keep a winning streak when you're #1 since every game you play your opponent will probably play bring their best game of the year. Plus we were getting a little complacent the past few games, falling behind huge, but eventually winning anyways. Down 18 and winning by 9 is like going down 25 and winning by 10 in the NBA. That definitely wouldn't cut it come March. Hopefully the complacency is out of the way and we've hit the reset button. Time to progressively peak playoff time.

Not to take anything away from Vandy. We got outplayed period. The SEC is seriously good this year. Damnit March hurry up.

I'll take the guy with ball-handling. We don't need another 1-dimensional scorer.

As a Vandy alum who has watched a lot of Commodores hoops this season, I am a huge fan of Byars.

I'm a Vandy grad as well and I think that Byars is a very talented player.

Byars had a great game in the victory against number 1 ranked Florida.

I watched Almond play at Rice. The guy is a BEAST. Would be a nice pickup for the Rockets.
