that's his name? I thought his name was "Fat Dude with a Wig" . Sorry, man. I really AM going to HELL/DALLAS now.
My 1-year-old son has been sick for the past week, and he eats ton of peanut butter. Turns out that it was this peanut butter he was eating. We took him to the doctor, and even though she didn't diagnose him with Salmonella, I was fairly sure that this is what he had. Since I work with his doctor, I asked her if my son's symptoms were salmonella-like, and she said yes, but since his stool didn't have blood in it, there was nothing to worry about. The worst thing about this is that we were giving him peanut butter to get him to eat. I hear you. I won't initiate anything, but if there's a class-action lawsuit, I will be on board.
Ah, sh*t... double whammy. Not only am I going to HELL/DALLAS... I will die in PURGATORY/UTAH. AstroRockette's fianceé and Xerobull... whether you're being serious or not... what would be your basis of the lawsuit? I am sure whoever packaged it did not know there were any germs until later... should you be on some kind of recall list for this, or what? (I am just trying to raise questions here...)
I had a jar of this at home. Now I know why I went through hell for a week...I hadn't been so sick in years. I just thought it was a bad case of the flu.
Before I found out about this (literally, about an hour before I found out about this) I ate two PBJ sandwiches. So, I'm watching the news, and KABOOM - YOU HAVE SALMONELLA! (same serial numbers, brand, etc.,.) But nothing's happened at all. I feel fine.
If this is my last week, I'm going to go kill one of the mannequins with lower-bowl season tickets and enjoy a game before I go out in a diarrhea explosion.
Hopefully you make it back home before that last part. There's nothing I hate more than going to a game and finding out they haven't cleaned up all the explosive diarrhea on the seats from the last one. The hell should I know? That's my lawyer's problem. I just just want some damn money.
Their plant was at fault. I'm not really interested in money here. Many, many class actions suits are BS and all about the money, but this is about holding a food company accountable. If we (the public) doesn't hold big business accountable by kicking it where it hurts (it's cash), it will run all over us, much like the oil companies do. And my wife is out for blood on this one.
I have 2 jars of the Peanut Butter with the serial # 2111. My son and I ate a PB& J sandwich last week. No Joke. He is actually feeling sick today with headache and stomach pains.
I went to Wal Mart today and their peanut butter section was as empty as a Hawks game. Luckily, JIF makes a honey roast peanut butter, though it's not as good as Peter Pan...
My two kids and I got the virus from it. Not fun. Low grade fever, stomach cramps, runs (that turns to paste as it gets better)... Yep. So no perfect dumps this week.
Well, let's just say that's the last time I eat food that has the name and picture of the guy we flew over London with at Disney World. I know now why he's from NEVER land.
Salmonella is nasty. I got a very mild case when I used to work in a chicken processing plant. Even then, you could strain my crap through a seive for a week, it was so watery. I could have pooped through a straw. Salmonella = a nasty case of the sh*ts
