speak for yourself Some of us believe in treating folks right until given reason not to. glad to hear that...maybe you arent a total loss. I'll never understand why folks who claim to be christian can be so hateful. That surely isnt the religion I grew up with, we were taught to attempt to follow Christ's example and to love (or at least attempt to love) our fellow humans. I wouldnt want to presume I know God's mind, but Im fairly certain he never meant it to be this way.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2766213 NBA Commissioner David Stern, upon learning of the remarks Wednesday, banished Hardaway from All-Star weekend in Las Vegas. "It is inappropriate for him to be representing us given the disparity between his views and ours," Stern said in a statement Thursday. Hardaway, who played in five All-Star games during the 1990s, was already in Las Vegas and scheduled to make a series of public appearances this week on behalf of the league. He had attended an NBA Cares event at a Las Vegas YMCA with Knicks forward Jerome Williams on Tuesday.
Good for them...Hardaway should have kept his trap shut......it is ok to believe what he does, but there are consequences to expressing those views. Good for Stern. DD
Everybody needs to keep religion out of this because it comes down to one very simple idea: hatred or intolerance of another human being based on sexual preference is no different than hatred or intolerance of another human being based on race. It is how they are and there is no way for them to change that. Diversity is what makes this world such a beautiful place, or at least gives it the potential to be beautiful. For Tim Hardaway, and African American man, to say these things is just unbelievable. The fact that Amaechi even has to write this book in this day and age says very sad things for our society and makes us realize that we are still not so much better than 50 years ago when Blacks and Whites did not go to school together, play together, or even use the same freaking toilet. Its like if I had to write a book announcing I'm white and why. Quite frankly the comments from a few of you in this thread is some of the most disturbing reading I've done in awhile. Where is the peace people? Especially so soon after Martin Luther King day. This world will always be f***ed up until people learn to accept, love and understand each other, or at least make an effort to.
Also heard on ESPN radio that Hardaway was fired from whatever position he had with that other basketball organization(NBDL?, CBA?). They said he was basically a scout of some sort. good for him.
wow, this thread blew up, anywayssss, damnit, i have a dick for a reason and woman have a vagina for a reason also, andddd that issss, the penis goes in the vagina, thats how its supposed to be, opposite sex are supposed to attract, so therefore no stickin dicks in rectums, thats not how it is, k im done with this thread.
I'm not here claiming to be all-righteous or what not. But I'm sorry, I don't see myself accepting the gay way. And another thing, me not liking gays doesn't mean that I'm gonna go about the place bashing them.
You should have started off with this, because that way no one would have taken you seriously. You just showed your narrow-mindedness
lol what u dont think so? man something is wrong with u guys, tell me..u think its right for a male to have "sex" with a male? notice how i put the quotation marks because in reality, its not sex, u think stickin a penis into a guys rectum is right? c'mon, **** that, theres a reason why there is vaginas
So oral sex is wrong? Masturbation? Do you think having sex for reasons other than procreation is also wrong?
no dude, im just going back to the basics, it serves a purpose to have a penis, gettin it sucked comes after all the other stuff, but its there to stick it in a damn vagina, thats it. and for a vagina, 2 girls cant have sex, they would need a toy which is not natural, its human made, so theresfore they need some dick! k time to go watch the game.
I've probably spilled my seed thousands of times during my life, starting at about age 13. It's unnatural because I wasn't aiming to create a life. It's worse than gay sex because I wasn't offering pleasure to anyone else... just myself. I've had sex for pleasure a bunch of times since I was 17. It was unnatural because I wasn't trying to make a life and it was guilt-ridden because it was outside of marriage. During these episodes, I spilled my seed... whether on the ground or in a condom. After marriage, I had pleasure-seeking sex a bunch of times without any desire to make a life, again, spilling my seed on the ground or in a condom, thus making it unnatural. When we did decide to make a life, it probably only took 40-60 times to create two beautiful daughters. Since then, it's back to the unnatural sex and it will be that way until I OD on viagra. By the way, I also teach Sunday School to teenagers at the local United Methodist Church. The God and religion that some of you seem to follow doesn't look like anything I want to teach my kids... if you really want people to follow your religion, try behaving like someone we'd want to be.
Who's to determine what is right or wrong? You? Who made you god? What makes you think you can tell anyone what is or isn't natural? You've made it obvious by your comments that you are an ignorant person. You are deplorable.
no, IMO its just common sense, u should know what is wrong or right, right? im not being ignorant, im not sayin **** gays they should burn in hell.
Most things in the world don't work on common sense, and nothing is so black and white either. In fact it's mostly grey area. But I'm done with this now, and I really don't know why I bothered to begin with.
