    Who's hot: Dirk Nowitzki

On the road trip so far, he's averaged 31 points, 11 rebounds and 7.5 assists. He's getting close to his first career triple-double. It's only a matter of time before he gets it done ... Out of almost nowhere, Houston's Shane Battier had 25 points and eight rebounds in an overtime win against Sacramento on Tuesday. He had surpassed seven points just once in the previous five games. ... Jason Terry has had 11 assists in both of the games so far on this road trip.

    Who's not? Tracy McGrady

He continues to put up gaudy numbers, but he missed 15 of 26 shots against Sacramento and was 6-of-17 in the previous win over Charlotte. He's gone six consecutive games without hitting half of his shots, going 57-of-128 in that stretch. Worse, he's 8-of-15 (.533) from the line in the last two games. ... Center DeSagana Diop essentially was benched for the second half of the Milwaukee game, playing 47 seconds because of ineffectiveness.

    Injuries

Mavericks: D.J. Mbenga (right knee) and Devean George (right knee) are out.

Rockets: Yao Ming (right leg) and Bob Sura (back) are out.

I wouldn't personally put Tracy in the "Who not (hot)" category, but I suppose they had to choose someone. His shot has been off, yes, but other than that he's been outstanding.

Anyway, the most important thing I got from this is that Devean George is out for this one. That makes them a little less deep, and now that Kirk Snyder is back to form, we are 1 player deeper this time. Could make the difference.

of course there is no mention of the fact T-Mac had 12 assists in the Sacramento game. Oh well, I imagine somebody will show this to T-Mac to add fuel to his fire. Thanks Eddie Sefko!

    57 of 128 = 44.5%

Talk about making something out of nothing. The free throws have been bad for a whopping 2 games (that we have won) so what exactly is the problem?

I like how Dirk is getting close to his first triple double. Ooooh it's going to happen soon!!! LOL

I admit that Dirk is a decent regular season player, but the way he plays makes him harder to get a ring. He instinctly prefers to shoot those difficult fade-aways instead of bumping into the paint, although he has improved a lot on that point. With healthy Tmac and Yao, we can beat them any day of the week.

Funny I seem to recall a few years ago that this guy was a columnist for the Chronicle and I really didn't think he was that good a columnist then so send him to little d and little seems to change.

Yeah, good call on T-Mac's game being off, Suckblo! I hope T-Mac drops at least a 40 large on those Sav Bozos. Also throw in one of those subatomic slams like he did to Shawn "Brokeback b****" Bradley. LOL! Apparently, once again arrogant Dallas seems to be starting to show their true colors. What a surprise!

C'mon T-Mac rise up and be the beastman monster we know you can! Kick Dallas' ASS!

T-MVP gonna do a rollup on those Dallas whoosieboys! :p

Man TMAC is going to go OFF! Mavs just put fuel on the fire and set the stage for MAC to get 40+. Theres also no Devan George so that means there is one less "MAC Stopper" on the Mavs team :D

They are feeling good about themselves. That's OK. In the playoffs, they will suffer and pay.
