Can't let the front office forget that they should have brought Calvin back right after he was cleared of the ridiculous accusations that made him leave his career. This was his career & livelihood, isn't it ascenine for the organization to not support their own hall of famer who has been upstanding and wrongfully maligned? Why do the Rocket fans who sorely miss this guy's enthusiasm, DEAD-ON analysis, and entertainability (is that a word? ) have to suffer and why does HE continue to be snubbed?

Cheap ploy to get the Rockets attention? Sure. Do I care? No.

    Brink back Calvin!

BRING CALVIN BACK! Honestly, Drexler and Bullard are so meh that I don't care if Calvin molests me at this point. Put the man back in the booth!

    :D

    True.

We have been force fed the horrible duo to the point that I am now battle weary. If things stay as it is, I will remain indifferent towards the Rockets broadcast team - and ignore Clyde and Matt's useless contributions as much as possible. When they play on ESPN or ABC, I intentionally do not even bother watching the local broadcast. When Calvin was here - I always watch the local team whether it was ESPN or not.

Heck at this point coach Van Chancelor [sp??] will be a mighty uprade - in fact he was a much better when he "colored" the games some seasons back.

I have an idea that will help for now - have a revolving door approach to the seat currently occupied by Matt and Clyde - by this a new face will fill the seat every game (like the Chicago Cubs do the 7th inning stretch song). This cannot be worse that what we are forced to suffer now.

He's a hall of famer, a great entertainer, and a very likable on air personality. Sure, he's got some character flaws. Don't we all.

It is ridiculous that Calvin is not a part of the Rockets organization.

Are they bringing him back or are you just demanding it? Your thread title sounds like they are bringing him back but your post suggests differently.

I liked Calvin...but let's not gloss over the fact that he used to say some pretty ridiculous things too...I'm not holding my breath that he'll be back but it would be nice.

didn't les originally fire calvin when he took over the organization and then bring him back because he allegedly made a mistake? So, obviously he doesn't care for the guy

Yeah the thread title seemed like he was coming back..

Who can we e-mail or call requesting his services again? If we all called on a daily basis requesting him back I'm pretty sure it can happen.

Thats the point of the thread. It seems like there have been a couple of pushes to try and get him back but they all fizzled out. We should try to get an official position from the Rockets. Maybe lurking journalists on this site could force the issue? :D

There was a HUGE push and a very large petition. I don't think we're gonna get any farther unless the Rockets change their stance.

Bring back Calvin! It'd be really sweet to have him back now that the Rockets are entering some good years again. He is 10 million times better than Clyde, Van, and Bull.

Well shoot, then I guess we have to try again.

The squeaky wheel gets the oil (and oil wrestlers and salads and...). We have to squeak louder so that the front office can at least address this and give us a position, which we can then exploit to get Calvin back in our TVs.

    COME ON and COMPLAIN PEOPLE!

Clyde is family, Bullard contributed to a championship - I think..., Mario has the kiss of death. However, the post game analysis is looser/snoozer.

Clyde is so politically correct and tries to use words beyond his vocabulary (Clyde skipped all English class at UofH, not an undergrad requirement backNthday).

Bullard is like a talking head from ESPN.

We miss Calvin's love and compassion for the Rockets. Calvin would give JVG advice on what he sees. Calvin would have let TMAC have it at the beginning of the season for his poor play. Bonzi wouldn't have been spared either.
