Sorry, forgot to post the text of the article:

Rockets center Yao Ming said Monday he expects to return to Rockets practices within two weeks, a few days ahead of the March 1 date the Rockets had planned, with a return to games in "early March."

"You know me," he said. "I'm always faster than (expected)."

Tests on Yao's fractured right leg show him to be progressing on schedule. He has been running on a treadmill, in which Rockets trainers can limit the weight he puts on the leg, and walking through moves and jump shots.

"They are letting me do some jump shots, some practice but not real moves," Yao said. "I can walk on it, and do a lot more now. I have to (wear the brace) to give me some time to adjust to the brace because I will play the rest of the season with it.

"I've been running on the new treadmill. They control the weight. Now it's still March. I can get back to practice in 10 days to two weeks.

"It's hard to say (when he will play). Hopefully, the beginning of March."

I also appreciate the link, even if it was previously posted in the quagmire known as the Yao Rehab Topic.

That aside, this is absolutely great news. The sooner Yao gets back the sooner he can get back into his groove for the playoffs. I'm very excited (though slightly worried cause I know how our luck has been) about what this team is gonna play like with the best center in the league back in the middle. The likely outcome is that our team is even stronger now that chemistry has further developed without Yao to lean on like a crutch. Once Yao comes back and finds a rhythm with the team, I think we'll finally be able to top the elite teams like Dallas and the Suns. Common sense indicates to me that our very good team with the re-addition of the best center in the NBA = a great, championship caliber team.

Though I believe when Yao comes back T-Mac should remain our primary weapon (he excels as the go to guy, the point scorer), Yao would then become a co-primary weapon, so-to-speak, still getting his 20+/10/2 blocks a game and being the guy when T-Mac is lukewarm or doubled. I simply cannot fathom how good our team will be when Juwan or Rafer are no longer asked to be option 2 scoring wise. I have a lot of faith that with Yao working as hard as he does, he will come back early-mid March and in good enough shape to where he will be able to contribute significantly his first week or two back.

Guys, we are lucky to have a player like Yao Ming. Not only is this guy the best center in the league (who still hasn't quite reached his prime) but unlike Shaq he is a hard worker who stays in shape and gets along great with the team. Yao works harder than 99% of the league and is always trying to improve his game. With the Rockets in Yao's hands over the next decade or so... I feel confident, and upon hearing how quickly Yao has worked himself back into shape, have never been happier to have him as our franchise player.

Trade Bonzi. I think Snyder has more potential, a higher work ethic, and is a much better choice to shut down other players long guards that kill us (cough *stackhouse*).

That and Bonzi is probably better trade value, and is still playing pretty terribly. Trade Bonzi.

Nah, keep em both. Give minutes to Bonzi now, try to get him in shape. If Bonzi doesn't improve and get healthy, then Snyder is an option.

Also, Bonzi will more than likely walk if he doesn't do great here, and Snyder is signed for one season after this one. With Snyder, we let Bonzi walk, and worry about filling other positions rather than "big 2-guard who can defend, rebound and score in the paint".

I also think that Bonzi is a great solution for when Dallas puts Devean George at C. Put Bonzi at the 5, Battier at 4, T-Mac at 3, Snyder or Head at 2, and Alston at 1.

Lots of matchups to play with.

Also, I think Yao will play against San Antonio on March 3rd. March 2nd is the first game of a back to back, so I doubt he plays that one. Against San Antonio, even if he's rusty, the 20 minutes he'll provide will be MUCH appreciated by Juwan/Deke on the 2nd night of a back to back.

Great news!! Seeing both Yao and T-Mac on the court is gonna be awesome! As far as Snyder vs. Bonzi, keep 'em both. Bonzi could prove to very valuable in the post-season, and he's gonna walk after this year anyway. I'd hope that JVG gives Snyder some minutes though...but y'all know how that goes.

Snyder may have more potential but Bonzi is clearly the better scorer and rebounder of the 2 and can do some things that Snyder will never be able to do. I do however agree with Van Gundy (can't believe I am saying that), with the way Battier head and Tmac are playing, minutes for Snyder and Bonzi will always be limited. And when taking that into consideration Snyder may be the better choice for this team which would make Bonzi expendable. Poor Bonzi he threw millions of dollars away in the off season only to sign with a team that doesn't really need him. With Battier and Tmac locked in his spots and Head play so well as a backup he'll never be more than a role player on this team. Bonzi at best can hope to have moments of shining play in the season. That has got to be a tough pill to swallow for a guy who was definitely one of the best players in the post season last year. Not exactly what you would hope for in a contract year.

It's his own fault for coming in fat and bitter. Every time I see him play he looks terrible - and I cannot help but think it is due to lack of effort to improve. He's already a 1-yr rental so trade him now and move Snyder back into the rotation.
