I don't understand some of these.
How can Patrick Ewing be second? He's been injured almost all season.
I think Mutombo, among others, deserves to get more votes.
Also, can you understand how Jayson Williams is getting votes? When is he coming back? Like 2 weeks before the All-Star game?
How can Pippen be third among all forwards?
Especially with all the talent among forwards in the West. Have any of the voters heard of Chris Webber?

I just don't understand how the NBA can leave this to the fans. Obviously, many don't know a thing about basketball. All they know are the big names (Ewing) and those who are flashy and can dunk (Kobe).

Assuming the voting holds the starting line-ups will be:
    East -
    Mourning (6'10")
    Carter (6'6")
    Hill (6'8")
    Jones (6'7")
    Iverson (6'0")

    West -
    O'Neal (7'1")
    Duncan (7'0")
    Garnett (6'11")
    Payton (6'4")
    Kidd (6'4")

    * All heights are official listings.

The West is so much bigger than the East. The West has a height advantage at every position except SG.

Where did you find this out?
I personally have been voting for Barkley (for old times sake), CWebb, Stevie, GP, and Dream. for the east: Mourning, Cassell, Eddie jones, half-man half-amazing, and Big Dawg.

The fans usually do vote in some players just out of recognition and don't really know the game or watch it night in and out and out of loyalty to the players on their team. I vote for my players regardless. Oh well! All we can do is vote for who we want - every day. I admit I have not been doing this every day.

Vote Rockets - Hakeem, Chuck, Shandon, Stevie

I'll probably start voting in Shandon, too. For a while I had been voting for Cat as a write-in. But I figured that it was pointless because no one else would.

    Ace,
Dikembe looks really good on paper and really bad in person. He's in the East, which accounts for his good stats, but LORD HAVE MERCY watch him play live and you won't believe your eyes how poor he looks.

Did you see who the candidates were for the center in the east? THEY GOT MICHAEL DOLEAC AND VITALY POTAPENKO ON THERE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! It doesn't surprise me that Patrick Ewing is 2nd in that category since hes a person everyones actually heard of!

shows you how weak the east is...

what really pissed me off was looking at the voting for guards in the west and Michael Finley is at rock bottom. This guy is one of the best in the league, and there are scrubs like Damon Stupidmire ahead of him! Its all a popularity contest. Sounds real junior high, i know, but it is.

I like that the fans get to vote for this, just too bad that some people are so god damn stupid!

I wouldn't exactly call Damon Stoudamire s scrub. Put him on any other team than Portland and his numbers would be near double what they are now.

This guy won the Rookie of the year award for crying out loud. Did you ever watch him Toronto just light people up, and the guy is only 5-10. He has more people to keep happy than anybody else in the league.

Don't ever call this guy a scrub. His job now is distributor. It used to be all around baller. Don't forget that.
