But he did bank "the pass" off the glass right ? Come on .. give Clyde some love, he did help in winning championship
I think he said....for example his freethrow shooting IS a lot to be desired instead of leaves a lot to be desired.
What about the time when he actually said something like "You can't mess with the family jewels" right after someone got kneed there while on the air. I didnt think you could say family jewels on T.V.
I enjoyed the "without a doubt" Brevin Knight would have been a top five point guard were it not for injuries comment.
Bill and Clyde are brutal, things are a little better with Air Bullard, but Gene Peterson and Jim Foley run rings around all of them.
His commentary sucks, but man he was fun to watch <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/OdupVQZv2Uk"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/OdupVQZv2Uk" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
"Kevin Garnett at this stage in his career WOULD take less money to be on a winner. He's a competitor." Um, how exactly would you know he or ANYONE WOULD just do that? I'll assume its about after Garnett's contract expiring and he becomes a free agent again and not about restructering, cuz I'm pretty sure he'd know NBA contracts can't be restructured. To be fair Clyde didn't say restructure but you really don't know with him
somehow he's actually grown on me. i used to not be able to stand him but he at least seems comfortable now and i think i actually like him more than the bull, who is still too stiff and robotic. clyde seems to have developed at least a little rapport with bill (who you know must pine for the days of calvin every night) so it's easier to look over the stupid comments. i liked tonight after luther threw another bounce pass away and bill said something like he needs to take the bounce pass out of his game and clyde said he just needs to take the passing out of his game, "just shoot it luther!" just the way he said it and being even more harsh than bill (when clyde is always pumping guys up) seemed funny.
don't confuse "improvement" with "getting used to him." he still offers close to zero commentary or insight into the game. he's just there.
I liked (from tonight) "Rafer is up there with Steve Nash, in terms of getting the ball to people where they want it.' On Adam Morrison "He's going to be a good, young player for many, many years"
but he can still today dunk a windmill. I read somewhere here that he can still dunk from the free throw line. Thats Sick!!
I had the pleasure of watching the Rockets/Mavs game on HDNET this week. The Mavs commentators were a breath of fresh air! Very professional and insightful. Anyways...
