mexico could of easily won this game or at least tide, just bad luck and inconsistant play, the 2nd goal doesnt even count to me, but i agree that tackle attemp was uncalled for

Mexico is the most classless national team in the world.....their antics are almost as bad as Italy's flopping.

    Disgraceful !

Haha! ussoccer.com interviewing Jimmy Conrad. Conrad, grinning, on his goal: "Yeah, it was pretty good. I'm a pretty good player."

Why am I not surprised you can't admit you just straight up got beat?

Bornstein is going to be a really good player, he had a great first season with Chivas USA (he actually played defense, midfield, and forward in various games).

And I'd be perfectly happy never seeing Johnson or Albright playing for the US again, but I have a feeling they'll both keep getting chances.

    2-0

You can call for it all you want, it'll still end the same.

Didn't watch the game at home... just got home from a long drive... bare with me here. I have no excuses. Estados Unidos beat Mexico WELL tonight TO KEEP DOMINANCE.

    3 reasons we lost tonight.

    1. We sucked.
    2. We didn't play well.
    3. The EE.UU. played better.
    4. AND we sucked.

Time for an overhaul, HUGO.

Don't say ALL Mexican players are like that. That's an overgeneralization/stereotype if I have ever seen one. MANY are classy. :( Oswaldo Sanchez shouldn't play for ANY team after that stunt. Off with his F*CKING HEAD. Dirty ass, mutha focka. That ****'s UNCALLED FOR.

Landon Donovan refused to answer questions from Fernando Schwartz, veteran well-known Mexican broadcaster for Univision, asking Donovan: "You always bring your A game against Mexico... can you answer a few questions?" When Landon walked away, Schwartz said: "Ok, that was the MAN of the game... if you can call it so... Mr. Donovan showing a lot of class and education level... :( " Not comparing the actual MAN OF THE GAME to anyone... I just thought you dudes might want to know what happened.

Yeah, MEXICO was dirty tonight, but you saw the earlier posts with the videos. It's not just us.

We lost terribly bad. :( We didn't want to score when we had the chance, and passed great opportunities just throwing the ball up for grabs. That second score was a DUMB pass. Nice play by the ref.

I agree with BrieflySpeaking... while we dominated MOST of the game, the EE.UU. scored when it was key, but a loss is a loss. HUGE disappointment to EVERYONE in futbol to see a game slip away like that.

    What a great win!

I only wish they would perform as well on the biggest stage of them all: the World Cup.

Yup, that one still stings :(

Yeah, they're starting to piss me off as well. If you don't want to shake hands, f*ckers, at least WIN.

I like you Swoly, but it has to be said: The Mexican national soccer team puts the 'ass' in class.

We just beat Mexico, they might as well crown us now.

Mexican coach: "The Americans were who we thought they were!"

Yep, it's seriously putting a BLACK cloud over Mex futbol in my mind. I mean seriously, what a bunch of sore losers. I've played with plenty of people like that, bunch of asses. Just what the MEX team appears to be right now.

I don't know enough about formations to really comment, but could Mapp and Convey be an effective combination in a starting XI? Or does that leave them too defensively weak in midfield? Or is it possible that either could play on the right, even though they're both left-footed?

To me, Mapp is headed to Europe within the next few years; that move against Denmark was world-class. He's the one guy that genuinely scares defenders with the ball at his feet, and if the US remains primarily a counter-attacking team, he's their best option as an outlet.

The only explanation I can think of for his absence is a lethargic attitude in practice;that's always been the rap on him.

Does anybody know of a site where I could watch the entire game, like the bit torrent posts in GARM?

It should be up here before too long.

I think Mapp will get more play time over the next year and will probably play a lot in the upcoming qualifying round.

I can't show up ANYWHERE with my MEXICO jerseys anymore after this game, I tell you what. :( They don't represent ME... not until they shape up. DrLudicrous, I wished I could have made that last soccer get-together. Now I got you freakers saying that I am like them... well, no, RocketFan007, we're not all like that...I am sure you've played against some classy dudes from MEXICO yourself. The whole team was a disgrace last night... veterans like O Sanchez and Marquez should lead that example... if they're not going to score, don't get pissed the Estadounidenses play smarter than you... that's totally stupid to say "you won cheating"... nobody cheated you. You heard it here first, fellas. MEXICO's National Team doesn't represent ME. It wasn't "not playing well", it was not playing like gentlemen.

tigermission1, where did you get that quote from Hugo Sanchez?

    A SIDE NOTE:
I hate the fact that here in the U.S., ESPN and the rest of the folks put so much emphasis on "assists", "shutouts", etc., just "stats". WHY? Tim Howard was at the right place at the right time. What does that mean? WE sucked at shooting it straight at him... and he gets a "shutout"?? WTF? Why can't they say "MEXICO shot it right to you"...? Why can't they say "MEXICO couldn't shoot AWY from you..." ? Now they're comparing Tim Howard to the greatest goal keepers the U.S. has had? No way. I'd like to see him fly across the three poles like Friedel and stop a good 20 yard shot. He didn't do that last night, if you ask ME.

BTW, gentlemen, please kindly look at this entire thread and show me where I said that "Mexico will win this one," or rather, kick any of you while down? I have not.

    F*CK, I am so F&CK1nG MAD.
