That's nothing, Pat Robertson can do a 2000lb leg press.

I'm pretty sure those are 100 lb plates. The barbell has to be a heavier one to support the weight.

You know...that looks like Guy V. Lewis!

Guy Lewis could easily do that! He could also chew the leg off a mountain lion, use the lion's tears as antiseptic and sew the leg back on using the lion's whiskers.

    To BILL BRASK...errrr...GUY LEWIS!

Well then I guess I'm wrong. I guess I figured a 100 lb plate would look bigger than a 45. Pretty damn impressive!

I think that keeps you from ripping your shoulders apart.

It's called a bench press shirt. It comes in different styles, I used to wear a full one when I did power lifting a long time ago.

Usually it takes a couple of people to put that shirt on for you, very tight elastic materials. The purpose of the shirt is for injury prevention and performance enhancing.

Imagine lifting weights as much as half of a small car, it puts a lot strain on your soft tissues, torn pecs , rotator cups, biceps and triceps injuries are very common.

When you put that shirt on you can actually lift more than your normal max.

    Hope that help Sam.

FYI: My max all time bench was only 475 lbs at a body weight of 198lbs.

I would be more impressed if he didn’t have that particular weight shirt on. Some weight shirts are so strong that you could hold 250lbs and still not be able to pull the bar to you chest. When the shirt does the lifting it’s not very impressive.

Does he have someone wipe his butt for him after taking a crap because its obvious he ain't reaching himself.

Seems almost like a handicap to me.

Edit: after looking again looks like that without that shirt he can probably move them a bit better.

Impressive. My 162 lb frame at max has done 350 lbs. But when you get to a certain point its all mental.

Absolutely right. I don't even bother laying on the bench any more. I just hang at the water fountain and bang out a set of 500x12 with my mind.
