This is the true voice of the people of the Middle East. Its not extremists as your media makes it appear on a daily basis. The average citizen of Ramallah and Tel Aviv do have moderate views, but unfortunately talking heads of American media portray most citizens as hard liners and extremists. The common citizens of Palestine and Israel are not far off on a common idea, but the respective governments of the people has been hijacked by those religious fanatics. Religion is the enemy and was always the enemy.
The Palestinian voices in that piece were clearly lying. Actually that is cool. I had read something from their group a while back, and it is great to see that kind of grass roots effort. I hope that these youths continue to work toward that goal, and that more youths join them. They are the future, and hopefully can make some inroads. One of the problem is the segregation of the two groups. It is very hard for Israelies and Palestinians to spend any meaningful time together in order to experience first hand the moderate mainstream of each side.
Thank you for the broad and generalizing statement of the day, would you care to make one for tomorrow as well? I think we're still lacking a general assumption about the athletic prowess of Black men and the intellectual prowess of Asian men.
