Just wondering whom everyone thinks is the most dissappointing, or having the worst year this year, i'm not gonna count injuries, although disapointing, i am talking strictly about those players who have made it on the court, (altough injuries to a player that is playing and affecting his game obviously count)

The top 2 guys i can think of right off the top of my head are Andrei Kirelenko and Mike James. AK47 still brings the defense but his scoring numbers are way off and so is his effeicency, yet his team is still winning lots of games, while Mike James looks nothing like the player in Toronto last year that went crazy shooting for that contract.

Mike Bibby. He single handedly ruined my fantasy team.

Brad Miller has ruined my fantasy team, but my vote goes to Ben Wallace.

    Ugh.

Can't help but feel James would be lighting it up for us. I sure hope this doesn't become the season of the botched trade kicker as we go down in the playoffs while Rafer is having a brickfest. I'd still like to have him back and Sura and Padgett would work.

    Shaun Livingston has been disappointing.

so many good calls already. I'd agree with Brad Miller.

Actually, I totally disagree. Miller's poor performance is a product of Adelman's departure and the end of the princeton offense in Sacramento. He's the prototypical Princeton offense center with good passing and shooting, along with decent rebounding. He's not a regular center and has no post game so in a regular offense he's not very good at all.

So no it's not surprising to me. He was always a product of his system and now he sucks without it.

This rookie class has been pretty lackluster. You can tell guys like Roy, Foye, Bargnani and even Morrison to a certain extent are going to be solid NBA players for a long time but probably nothing great.

Some other names that come to mind.....

    Bibby/Brad Miller
    Telfair
    Channing Frye
    Marvin Williams
Ike Diogu (was the centerpiece of that trade for Indy and has not played well)
    Peja
    Flip Murray
    Fred Jones
    Jamaal Magloire
    Marbury
Jameer Nelson (to a certain extent)
    Mike James (sort of)
    Jason Richardson
    Jared Jeffries
    Zydrunas Illgauskas

EDIT: Shaq! Can't believe I missed such an obvious one. Good call.

I was about to enter my list, hit refresh, and saw your list. Add to yours, Speedy Claxton, Nene, Chris Kaman, Shaun Livingston, Troy Murphy, JRich, Larry Hughes, Steve Francis.

Mike James isn't doing so badly. It's just about what I expected. He had a career year in Toronto and will never approach it again because he has no incentive to. I agree Brad Miller isn't disappointing because he isn't that good.

Arguably Shaq and Wells. Although they havent had a fair shot to prove anything. Still disappointing though.

I'd have to go w/ Ben Wallace or Peja, both received big deals on up & coming teams, but both have played poorly as well as their teams.

Wallace has definitely disappointed but Peja has just been injured most of the year, so I'm not sure it's fair to throw him in. Same with Shaq who's also been injured for much of the season.

Ya...I didn't want to include injured players but after the contract he got, I would call that a disappointment

I'd go with Lebron. Unlike many, I never thought he'd improve on last year's performance, which was amazing. But I didn't think he'd take a step back either. I mean, to not even be a MVP candidate is pretty shocking.

There aren't many to choose from for me. I don't think injuries should factor in. With some like AK47 or Shaq, they're almost expected. With others like Yao, well... things happen. Doesn't take away from what Yao has done. In addition, I tend to be pessimistic with "breakout potential" of young players, as well as with veterans whose age is catching up to them.
