I really find it funny that alot of the posters blame the league for Carmelo not making the all-stars selection. Like other posters have pointed out, it was the coaches who selected the all-stars reserves not the league!

And it is very obvious that, a lot of those coaches think Dirk, Marion, Amare, Boozer are better forwards than Carmelo! which i agree!

Not Boozer, and probably not Amare either.. Melo is GOOD guys.. he might be a punk but he's still GOOD. No doubt about that!

I hope Ray Allen makes the allstar roster instead of Melo

...Marion and Amare are pretty much garbage without Steve Nash, even in D'Antoni's system.

Amare not as much, but Marion definitely.

I think Melo is a punk too, but he made a mistake and owned up to it, served his punishment.

At the end of the day, Melo is much better than Amare or Marion. MUCH better.

But Amare and Marion are on winning teams...and they are on Steve Nash's team.

I also wonder sometimes how crappy those two guys would be without Nash.

Except for Dirk, Melo owns those guys. And if Jermaine O'Neal can get chosen after what he did at the Palace, I don't see why Melo shouldn't as well.

    Shawn Marion
    3 years prior to Nash
    40.2 mpg
    47.1 2pt%, 37.2 3pt%, 45.4 overall fg%
    19.8 ppg, 9.6 rpg, 2.4 apg
    2.1 steals, 1.2 blocks, 1.9 to

    2.5 years with Nash
    39.3 mpg
    56.0 2pt %, 33.2 3pt%, 50.5 overall fg%
    20.2 ppg, 11.3 rpg, 1.8 apg
    2.0 steals, 1.6 blocks, 1.5 to

Of course Steve Nash makes Shawn Marion better, but it's not like Marion was some scrub before Nash. Marion has been a fantasy bball monster for a long time. You also have to keep in mind that the Suns pace is much higher than in the Marbury years.

This took too long so I'm gonna skip doing Amare. Just wanted to let you guys know that many of y'all are talking out of your asses.

Carmelo is great and all, but it's also asinine to state with certainty that he's much more deserving of all star status than Carlos Boozer and Marion.

A message that it's ok to slap your wife (Jason Kidd) but not ok to fight on the basketball court?

None of those players are greater talents than Carmelo and only Dirk has done more while on the court. At the end of their careers, sensible people will remember rediculous statements like these and laugh at how easily the media contorts fans' brains into thinking on skirmish made a player not one of the 5 best in the league.

That really pissed me off. I picked him up for fantasy and the dude just flat out sucked it for a good number of games. He was awesome before the suspension. Then I drop him and the first game I don't have him he goes for a triple double. What's up with your team though? They're really sucking. I don't have enough DVRing, but I did catch the end of the game last night and the Nuggets just couldn't score down the stretch. That's like Rockets problems, but the Rockets are a defensive team. Aren't the Nuggets supposed to be all-world on offense, or can they not grind it out?

We're going through a lot right now. We adjust to Melo coming back, and AI gets hurt. Some players, Melo included, weren't interested in running and we slowed it down too much. Camby, Evans and Blake are all "hurt" right now too, so they're not playing at 100%. We're a cluster-*word censored* right now. Problem is, when we play a good team like Phoenix, we get motivated and play like we should EVERY game.

The team seriously needs a George Karl beat-down right now. He's mellowed too much in the last 2 years.
