The reason I use Yahoo is because it was simple and neat... now it has way too many boxes looks like the ESPN website
It was quite startling this morning to see the new layout. In "general" the layout is fine. That's the age we are in. Modular with big splashy pictures. However, just like you said, the reason I DID get to Yahoo was their "bare bones" approach to that NBA page. Great page to track the live games going on. It was a "fast load" because of minimal graphics and Flash ads. Disappointing they went that direction. But I understand it.
Gack. Hate the new look. Now it looks like any other b-ball website out there; espn, nba.com, foxsports. The simple layout is so much better.
thumbs down.. i liked the simple page better. that was the reason i never checked NBA.com. it just seemed so damn bunched up and it took a while to load sometimes. guess i gotta find some other site now.
I used to use Yahoo only just because of the simplicity. I absolutely hate the ESPN website. It is crowded with so much media and junk. Screw Yahoo for jumping on the bandwagon
I agree. I don't like the new layout. too much stuff going on...simple is better. I don't like the yahoo changes lately. they changed the yahoo finance page as well and it sucks. I use yahoo finance at work because it was fast and had a lot of info. but now a lot of the links are dead for the stocks info, the message boards don't work, and the fundamental data is not updated like it used to be.
Hate it. The only reason I always went there was for the simplistic, fast loading, layout. Anyone know of another b-ball site that's set up the way Yahoo used to be?
Crap well i like the fact that it doesn't look like it was generated by an 8th grade student, it's polished and professional looking. It's still easy to navigate so i'm not seeing the problem.
I've always used Yahoo sports because in the days of the dial up, I aint gonna wait for nba.com. Now I have a cable modem I still like th simpler layout, but I still like their site better than 99% of the other sports sites out there.
