Spaghetti, when done right, is a healthy source of carbs, and salmon is a great source of protein. Why wouldn't he eat it?
On League Pass, the Sonics announcer just said that he'd spoken to JVG and that Yao wasn't expected back until the last part of MARCH. Say it ain't so, Yao!
He went down on 12/23 , so 12 weeks later would put that return at late March. 8 weeks to heal + 4 weeks for conditioning and training camp = the same time table as before. I'm just hoping he can come back as normal as possible.
Although I wonder if the Rockets are hiding stuff from the public and the injury is worse than it appears. Ugh, shyt is giving me a stomach ache thinking about a injury plagued Yao.
Don't fret. JVG is probably just being negative. If some of the Chinese media start saying the say thing, then it's OK to get worried.
You gotta call em like ya see em. I would do it, but Im fairly sure Snowman has me on ignore by now since Ive been raggin on him since 02. and btw...Pryuen is totally right...the injury was a fluke, it was thru no fault of Yaos period. adn the mear thought of him becoming less aggressive or having to double-think before making a move is STUPID. Ask any athlete that has ACTUALLY played competitive ball waht they think of that. and be ready to be sneered at for your stupidity and girlishness.
Yao adds to workout With a bone scan showing the healing on Yao Ming's fractured tibia progressing on schedule, the Rockets center was permitted to add to his workouts on the underwater treadmill Tuesday. The progress, however, did not represent on his schedule to return to the court, with more extensive rehabilitation planned for mid-February and playing expected in mid- to late March. "The bone scan shows it's improving," Rockets trainer Keith Jones said. "It's healing. There's no displacement. Everything is still in place, so we keep going on our same route we're going. "We started the pool workouts. We keep adding a little more and bringing him up slow. He's feeling good. So we have to make sure he's not too overzealous and tries to do too much because that's Yao. He's going to push it and everyday try to do more. With the injury as it is, you have to be careful." Yao has been lifting weights and throwing and catching tennis balls and footballs. As far as Yao's ability to throw a football, Jones said: "It's not good. It's getting better, but it's not good." http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/4516955.html
oh noes! that's basically the the rest of the season.. which means he has like 8-9 games to get ready for the playoffs. Let's hope Tmac can hold the ship up until then.
when yao is back, he will be fine and carry the Rox to the ring together with T-Mac, just hopw he can come back earlier n play some games against Dallas n phoenix, we may face them in the western final
I still think the rockets are being pessimistic...if Yao gets back to training on the court starting in mid Feb..I think he will be back in games by end of Feb or first part of March....he rehabs hard and I don't think it will take him 4 weeks to get back into shape....maybe its just wishful thinking on my part...
I agree but with T-Mac taking care of buisness there is no need to rush Yao back, that being said if we are still within a game of the Spurs than we need everyone back and ready to go get that 3rd seed.
I hope Yao returns when the Rockets play the Raptors, that is on March,16.Perfect game for Yao to get into shape.Plus I am planning to go to that game with my friends. We are really looking forward to that.So Yao,please get well soon.
yes I agree but after this homestand the games get a little tougher. We were lucky to have an easy schedule in January and first part of Feb. I think it will be hard for the rockets to maintain this type of record for the long run, especially on tough road games. We need Yao for those games. But I do agree, i don't want him to rush back and re aggrivate the injury (if it is that type of injury).....
