I'm certain Mister Van Gundy would love to be there. New York City is, after all, "someplace he is able to breathe."

And trust me, Mr. EDC, you would love it here also. One thing I might have to disagree with Mr. Van Gundy is that its not really a good place to take deep breaths on a regular occasion...especially if you walking down a street in the South Bronx. Other than that, no better city in the world. You should visit. Hey, I can even pay for dinner one night. :)

By the way, where have you been? You don't come out and play when Mr. Van Gundy is at the very least, mediocre. Why don't you make some nice critical comments about the state of the Rockets today? Do you think Mr. Van Gundy still has the team in the wrong direction? What would you say to all of us mental midgets if he wins Coach of the Year?

    Thoughts?

Now you are really contradicting. JVG is to be blamed for global warming due to the heated situation with some players. Make up your mind ,it's either one or the other , not both !! :D

seems Luther has been getting some minutes at the point lately....I had class tonight so I didnt get to see the game, but I heard Gene Peterson say something about how Luther ran the team pretty well in the 4th quarter

I don't see why some individuals are getting upset with JVG not being enthusiastic or uppity after our wins. Have we forgotten what happened when we were up 2-0 on Dallas and many of us were thinking "sweep" or a certain series victory? I think it's great that there's someone who keeps things in perspective. The worst thing, to me, would be to have a false sense of security. The best coaches- Popovich, Jackson, Sloan, Johnson, D'Antoni (well, the last two primarily for recent success)- if you notice, they all can be pretty morose after wins, too.

I hope he stays like this until we hoist the championship trophy. Then, he can do the Macarena on the Toyota Center floor or whatever else he wants to do.

These idiots are the same people screaming for Phil Jackson.
That guy does go Terrell Owens in the Endzone when his teams win or lose.

I have been in New York City. Fine city, I'd visit again, but was happy to leave (after four days), and wouldn't want to spend more than a week or so there.

With regards to tonight's performance, this was a prime example of the negatives inherent in "Mr. Van Gundy basketball." Watch him completely ignore the offensive woes and find a way to blame this on "effort" and the defensive side of the basketball.

It helps contain the chaos a bit. Besides, if you don't like it, why keep coming back to it? Hell, you just bumped it up by posting in it.

Y'know, I just figured out why I'm digging this season so much: edc only posts after the Rockets lose... and the Rockets don't lose many games these days.

Surprised it took you this long... the rest of them got run over by the bandwagon, but don't worry... this loss will be like CPR and allow them to live just a bit longer. :)

    Tee-hee!

There was NO WAY I would of gotten a response after a win, right? Coincidence, EDC?

    LOL!

EDC's credit as a poster continues to lower....if that is at all possible.

Sorry, no. In this thread alone, the last post before tonight was on January 31, which was certainly after the Rockets victory over Philadelphia, and likely after the Seattle win.

"would of?" What the heck do you mean by that.

Please, continue to post away in this thread. I will respond on Tuesday or Wednesday. The Rockets should win one or both of the Minnesota and Memphis games.

If the purpose is to soften the blow, I understand. But after everyloss somone decides it's time to shake things up.
