And dikembe is tenth http://basketball-reference.com/leaders/salary_career.html I honestly didnt know Juwan got paid this much
understand that juwan howard was really good back in the day with webber. Him and webber got monster contracts in the mid 90's.
Juwan set the nba back with his huge 100 mill deal!! I mean if Juwan could get a 100 mill deal, then anybody could.
Juwan wasn't that great. He was hitting his stride in his second year and thanks to the short rookie contract lengths then, his agent played Miami into offering a giant contract which the Wiz later matched. He never lived up to expectations.
Overpaid. yes. I'm just glad the Rockets weren't that stupid in paying someone that much.. Oh crap, Pippen!
PFFFFF!!!! I'm so happy we're Rocket fans not Wizard fans. Juwan set that franchise back to the stone age with that contract. Remember when Jordan returned to the Wizards as GM? What was the biggest thing Jordan did? Unretire? Nope! It was getting rid of Juwan. I'm glad we got Juwan now on the cheap.
LOL . I must admit that I also always thought he sucked bigtime, but I think right now he is a really really good fit for this team, and playing well.
I only said bad things about Juwan when was he was in brick house business and the slow motion defense. Here's my theory on why Juwan got better. 1. JVG got sick of his crap play and started Hayes over him. Juwan said, I better start playing better or I'll end up like V-SPAN. 2. He understands his role now. Let Yao and Tmac get theirs and THEN he'll have open shots. I hope he never returns to the day when I witness Memeh Okur treat him like a Turkish prisoner at Toyota Center. So yes, I dont criticize players when they are playing well and helping the team. They get props. Even 100million dollar Ray Ban Juwan himself. But when Juwan was sucking, it was horrid.
Of these 100 top paid players, by my count, at least 14 of them have played at some point for the Rockets. 5. JHO 10. Deke 11. Pippen 17. Dream 34. Vin Baker 40. TMAC 61. Glen Rice 77. Steve Francis 79. Clarence Weatherspoon 87. Robert Horry 92. Kelvin Cato 94. Maurice Taylor 96. Sam Cassell 100. Charles Barkley Surprised to see that Clyde didn't make it on here when seeing Cato and MoT on there. Shows Les isn't cheap.
