As some of you know, the NFL is in a pickle. With last weekend's games being cancelled, there was a lot of discussion on what to do. It seemed that they were leaning to playing all 16 regular season games playing the last weekend of the regular season during wildcard weekend meaning that only 4 teams from each conference would make the playoffs. My argument was to move the Super Bowl back a week. Guess what? Tagliabue is thinking about doing just that. There are still some decisions that have to be made and some of the alternatives are pretty interesting. Anyway here's the full story:

It appears that they're also considering adding games around Thanksgiving and other times in order to make up the slack instead of moving the Super Bowl back a week (which they still don't know whether it can be done or not).

Don't they usually wait like 2 weeks after the AFC and NFC championshiip games before they play the superbowl anyway? Why don't they justs take that "byeweek" of hype for the teams away and push back the playoffs one week. It wouldn't affect the superbowl any...

or maybe they took that byeweek away, im not sure.

Unfortunately, Crisco, the NFL doesn't have the bye week this season before the Super Bowl. It seems that every time they start the season on Labor Day weekend then they always have the bye before the Super Bowl. Personally, I felt that they should always start the season on Labor Day weekend because nothing's better than a long holiday weekend with football, football, and more football! I like the fact that they might play the Wild Card games on the Wednesday after the regular season!
