Good Morning all! Just wanted to say thank you again for all your thoughts and well wishes. Now its back to work. And believe me, New York will be stronger and better than it has ever been. Man I love this city. You would not believe the strength and resolve of everyone. My thoughts and prayers (yes, this has brought an Agnostic to prayer) are for all the great men and women of New York's fire and police departments that are lost or missing. To all the innocent, hard working people that just went to work that day. To all the families around the country that had members on all those planes. To all the people in Washington. Everyone! Crispee, AstroRocket, RichRocket, DAROckets, grummett, rockHEAD, Manny Ramirez, DEANBCURTIS, CriscoKidd, Swopa, DaDakota, TraJ, Outlaw, SamCassell, BeHad, ZRB, ROXRAN, Dvauthrin, DREAMer, Azim da Dream, Lynus302, Vengeance, R0ckets03, Timing, Nutcracker, MoonBus, fadeaway, vj23k, Smokey, ROCKSS, Gascon. Clutch, Band Geek Mobster, 3fingeredgus, BobFinn*, Almu, Jeff, Rimmy, across110thstreet, there are so many I know I’ve forgotten but what to thank. Okay! Group Hug!!!!!
Mark, It fills me with great pleasure to hear you are ok. It's amazing how much we can care about someone we've never met or seen in person, but I have been genuinely worried about you. The first thing I did this morning, once I got to work, was check this site to see if you had posted. What a nice sense of relief. I'm glad our CC family is intact! Welcome back! gus
Man, this is awesome!!! Count me in for a group hug, but not TheFreak...he wants all liberals to die in a horrible fashion like the unfortunate ones who perished last week.
In the spirit of tolerance and love, I'll hug thefreak the tightest! Conservative, liberal et' al, we may have different views on how to run the country. But it is all OUR country and its the best damn place in the world. We are all Americans first! I can't believe the feelings this has released in me.
Yeah, mc mark, I hear ya. I'm just giving my buddy a hard time anyway. BTW, everyone I told about you that aren't even Rockets fans told me to tell you that they are extremely relieved that you are OK!!
I am not American, but we here in Europe were also worried about you and we share many of the same values. Glad to see you are ok .
Mark, It is amazing that even though I have never met anybody from this BBS in person, that I and we as the BBS would be so concerned about another. I am truly glad and happy that you and your family are alright! It just goes to show you how truly powerful love is! Welcome back, buddy. Jon aka Manny Ramirez
Mc Mark - You dont know how worried everyone was. Just glad to know that you are safe. Great to have you back on. Manny Ramriez -- Are you French?
Thank God you and Johann are well. By Thursday morning I had a friend of mine, (a New York attorney) have his investigator looking for you and your wife. I am afraid I disturbed and bothered several people in the TriState area with names similiar to yours. Oh well..... There was some address that he drove to twice. You must belong to several guilds and affliations because he spent Friday morning calling or visiting some of the weirdest hangouts. PS: Let this be a lesson. When you are loved their are no secrets. Well ...... that little indiscretion you had in High School ... well, I've buried somewhere in my memory .... but well .... it imprsssed me. (chuckle) In all seriosness ..... so happy you both (pets too) are safe.
Mark, How has this changed your opinion of living in New York? Or has it changed your opinion at all? My plan is still to move there in November. In fact, I'm even more resolved to do so. The only thing I worry about is how the job market will be effected. What are your thoughts? BTW, sorry to divert the topic in any way to my own selfish concerns, but I really am curious as to how this has all effected your opinion of the city, and if you plan on staying there after everything that has occurred.
Uh... Thanks Pops! I think... "You must belong to several guilds and affliations because he spent Friday morning calling or visiting some of the weirdest hangouts." The only guilds or affiliations I belong to are totally legitimate. I swear!!!!! Man you people don't mess around.
Gascon you couldn't drag me out of this city now. I have seen a side of people here that I knew, deep down existed. It has really kind of galvanized everyone, made people stronger, kind of made people more defiant. I don't know, but in a strange way I've been feeling a little of what is known as "survivor Guilt." I just feel like I should have been here to help or do something. Of course all my friends think I'm nuts and should be happy I wasn't here. But I just can't shake this feeling. But I love this city more than ever. As far as the job market. There is a saying here, "if you can get up and be at a desk at 8am, you can find a job." I have never had a problem finding work. If you're half-way skilled, have some sort of personality and are motivated, you should not have a problem. Now this is strictly in the temp business. As far as food service, or any other "actor" jobs, well, I don't have much experience in those areas. But again, I don't think a talented young person such as yourself would have a problem.
