The Spurs will not do that trade. I heard on Sirius radio that the LA Clippers offered up Corey Maggette for Brent Barry and Udo Udrith and the Spurs turned the deal down.

they turned it down because maggs wants to start. he would only be a distraction in san an, and they knew it.

its really hard for me to see a trade happening when we have never had our full rotation together at one time this season. whether its been bonzi, snyder, tmac, or yao...this team has yet to experience their full squad and i would be happy with snyder and bonzi getting more minutes with tmac to see how the chemistry would work before i make a trade.

unless it involves our te for a pg.

I am disappointed in all of Houston media for the same reason.

pretty spot on, and i completely agree.... we really haven't seen our rotation. when it's all said and done, and everyone is healthy, one must think our rotation will be something like:

    yao, hayes, battier, tmac, rafer
    deke, howard, bonzi, snyder, head

unfortunately, head as a pg is a disaster.... but you have to give minutes to snyder, no way around it. and head's outside shot is too valuable to be sitting on the bench for extended periods of time.... but what do you do for a backup PG? you can platoon jlIII and vspan, but i have serious doubts about both of them (at least as of now)....

making a trade may be our best option.... there is only one basketball, and only 48 minutes to alott to so many players.

Coach Jeff Van Gundy hears the grumbling and knows what's being said by the critics who are frustrated with his refusal to blow up his rotation and try anybody, anything different. Namely, Kirk Snyder, Vassilis Spanoulis and Steve Novak.

no one is asking him to blow up his rotation.....at least im not......i just want rafer to take fewer shots and play fewer min. !!

I wont go as far as what you said about "maximum effort" because not many players in the NBA go all out. But, i think Bonzi should be seeing 25-30 minutes a game and its not happening. I think JVG hasnt let him totally out of his dog house....and thats a shame because we are getting beat and we arent even putting our best talent on the floor for extended periods of time.
