Link I don't necessarily agree w/ it, but I guess it's karma for A&M suing the Seahawks last season. I thought the bolded quotes were funny.
so why didn't you bold this? "This is a part of cherished rivalry between two great schools," he said. "The problem is UT has too many lawyers trying to justify their jobs."
After the Aggies went ape**** over the Seahawks' use of the 12th man, I don't really feel that bad. But people's jobs and livelihoods are at stake and it's just good natured fun, so I suppose I'd give A&M a pass.
The shirts are funny as are the shirts that have the collie's legs cut off. What's not funny are the Aggie assholes who vandalize cars that have Longhorn stickers. I know a few people who have had those "sawed off" as well. I also find it kinda sad when an Aggie would put that on the back of their car rather than a sticker focusing solely on their university. The hate of another school should not overshadow the love of one's own school.
Not an UT or Aggie fan, but I always thought that “Saw ’Em Off” sticker was sign off insecurity on ATM’s part.
For those of you thinking this is part of some UT conspiracy (I know you're out there), realize that this is standard operating procedure for UT. They're an equal opportunity pain in the ass, even going so far as to screw their own students. Case in point: UT owns the rights to the McCombs School of Business logo (and obviously the longhorn logo) and will not allow student organizations to use either logo on t-shirts or other promotional stuff. Heck, the administration at McCombs recently prohibited the use of company logos on all event t-shirts (and these companies are the ones who are freaking sponsoring the events, too). Craziness all around. Aggieland Outfitters ain't winning this one, as UT is allowed to protect its IP. It sucks, but what are you gonna do?
Or this: "The suit was filed Dec. 4, just days after Texas A&M had beaten UT in football on Nov. 24" I don't really care who wins this battle, but it should be fun to watch.
"... And that's why you always use smilies when posting jokes on internet message boards." Arrested Development fans should get this.
