If you're running your team with only this dude, then you have problems.

DD, with all due respect, I think you are way off base. The team has shown plenty of heart and tenacity this season. Every team in the NBA has off nights where it just isn't there. Just because the Rockets played a lackadaisical game last night doesn't mean the team lacks heart. Each game we lose is always a symptom of yet another problem.

These reactionary threads are out of control. Some of you could taste frosty cake icing and say it lacked sugar if you thought about it hard enough.

I agree, last night was not a typical Rockets game. They will back with what we want.

yes, a few guy show heart and always try their hardest (deke, jhow, battier, Spanoulis is he ever got any pt). But there are other guys who just dont seem like they are into the game, mainly tmac. He doesnt seem reall interested in bastekball at all. He's talking about retiring at the end of his contract and playing baseball. I dont see the passion in his game this year. It just looks like he is going through the motions, without a care. thayts just my opinion.

    @ duh dakota fanning-

Roderick Rhodes? David Wood? you cant be serious. Throw Richard Anderson in there, too. How about Granville Waters? You are completely irrationable.

Your sensationlist presentation with your posts is sickening.

With your incessent whining, you come across as a little girl.

I'm praying for you brother, because I'm sure you have other issues that make you so miserable.

This is exactly correct in my opinion. This is what Batman was trying to say to you last night. You over-react after a loss and it makes it hard for people like me to visit Clutchfans after a loss.

No. I think we are missing our starting center.

DD, i tend to agree with you on most of your points, but i don't think this team lacks any heart at all. to me what you're looking for is a vocal and passionate leader, a la bobby sura.

we have great players like yao and tmac, neither of which are very vocal, and guys like battier and mutumbo who bring the hustle and lead by example.

this is just another reason why i want rafer gone. he hurts the team every time he throws up another brick, and he's weak mentally and doesn't have the championship caliber leadership abilities we need. you would think that if our pg can't shoot, set up other players, or play great defense, he' at least be a leader or the glue for our team....rafer is neither.

Is this a joke? Our top two players have missed considerable chunks of the season, Tracy is a shell of his former self, our starting center is over 50, we have the worst starting point guard in the NBA, and our only post option is better known for his herpes than his jumpshot and we're somehow in the playoff picture and you're whining about them not having heart? Let me guess DD - this is JVG's fault too. Or maybe if we brought Boki back and played VSpan 48 minutes per that'd rectify the problem. Jesus Christ, if you already hadn't become a caricature of yourself already, this one takes the cake.

This thread. Wow. I wasn't able to catch last night's game due to visiting my parents, but :

Hate JVG if you want for whatever reasons you want...
Hate Rafer if you want for whatever reasons you want...
Act like VSpan is the next Tony Parker/Manu Ginobili-in-waiting...
Long for Rick "I had 3 of the best players at their positions, a backup PG that could start for most teams, and very good players/defenders around them, but couldn't win jack" Adelman if you want...

... but I don't see how on earth anybody can say this team has no heart. I don't know, maybe they choked last night, but that isn't going to erase the prior 10-12 games I've seen them undermanned and busted their butts every night. This team has heart.

You are probably looking for killer instinct.

When you're playing against the top 2 teams in the NBA, I don't think this term, 'killer instinct', applies.
