I'm not a big fan of projection tv's, but that's just me.

I originally bought a similar Samsung DLP about a year ago from Circuit City. After about 20 days of watching, I decided to swap it for the Sony Rear Projection LCD (Similar to the link). Much happier with the sony.

Personally, I've been unhappy with the samsung plasma's I've seen and been blown away by the SXRD. I bought a panasonic plasma, but was really close to getting the SXRD (space constraints led to panny)

My parents have a Sony SXRD, and it's incredible (but expensive). I'm not normally one to praise Sony products (because I hate the company), but the SXRD makes my 5-year old Toshiba HDTV like a 13" Goldstar POS. I just wish I could afford one.

I have that same samsung tv and let me tell it is by far one of the best purcahses I have made. All my friends love the tv and always want to come over to my place to watch sports in HD despite their own 40+ hdtvs. My friend has a similar sony but still comes over to my place to watch on my samsung..

    I highly recommend the samsung

gf's parents has a 67" samsung DLP...its incredible..especially after watching halledega nights on 1080p blu ray...not to mention HD football, games...i also think the DLP is brighter..my other friend has a 61" SXRD...both sets really good..On picture quality alone i'd go with the samsung, but having to replace the bulb of the dlp every couple of years will let me to get the sony..if it were me buying the tv.

plasma and lcd are the technologies to go to since they are ergonomically more pleasing, dlp is nice I like it but it will be distant 3rd eventually from the other 2 if not become obsolete if not enough people buy it..
