saying he had a lot of minutes and saying he had too many minutes are two totally different things. go back and read what he actually said.

If you're Les Alexander you want Tmac out there to alleviate the concerns of the fans so that the fans don't feel hopeless again and give up on the team.

You want to create a relationship with a fan base which is nonexistent

I have never seen a more underappreciated superstar in any sport, in any city, at any time in history than Tracy McGrady is in Houston. He's almost an afterthought. Some if it is due to the loyalty toward Yao that people have, but if Tmac were traded for Iverson, would Iverson be in the same boat?

He can win 20 games in a row and at the first sight of adversity or injury, people say: let's trade him. I don't know any players that can lead Mutombo, Battier and Howard to this record.

I can believe it. I quess they'll do the Waco therapy on him or something. Maybe its not a good thing but will do for the playoffs ( i mean medically you can only do the Waco thing ones in a month two months or something, but in case of the playoffs they are willing to do it more often <<just quessing).

Anyway good that he didnt paly against the rockets, who cares ( the ticket payers), just make the playoffs in time so he can get more rest at the end of regular season and him and Yao are ready to kill the competion after that.

Yeah in the playoffs the competion gonna look like  :( this!

I am pretty sure he was answering a question from the media. How was he supposed to "shut up"?

Like he said, he didn't have to miss the Suns game if it were playoffs.

The max number of games in the playoffs is 28, with no (or rarely?) back-to-back. Yes the playoffs is a lot more intense. But to think that it is very possible he can play through the playoffs is not too far fetched.

You have to understand that T-Mac came back as soon as Yao went out, led us to a 9-3 record (almost singlehandedly defeated the best record in the league but our role players choked), and you guys say he sucks because he went out one game to make sure his back didn't break in half.

I don't know what else you want, everyone knows T-Mac is the hottest player currently in January, and is leading the league in scoring for the last 10 games played (don't mind Carmelo, those stats are from way before the suspension) http://www.nba.com/statistics/playe...qualified=N&yearsExp=-1&splitDD=Last 10 Games
Not to mention the double digit assists games, rebounds, steals, blocks he has been getting lately with like 1 turnover per game.

Yeah, he's great when he can play. We get that. I love Tmac. I don't love his back situation. How many points etc did he have last game?

What else do I want? I want a healthy star who can get this team together EVERY GAME. I would like the Rockets to learn how to dominate on a daily basis. Dallas and Phoenix are rolling as a unit. We won't have a chance to play at that level. Yao's injury was a fluke and there is nothing that can done about that. Tmac will never play an entire season and I will be surprised if he can make an entire playoff run through the conference Finals.

During the regular season it is something that can be somewhat overcome and you just drop in the seeding. During the playoffs it will be another story. Every game is crucial and the spotlight on Tmac's health will be that much brighter.

Well you should be pissed at Yao too for being injured this season and last. T-Mac has only missed 8 games this season, while Yao has already missed more and will be out until March.

You can't hate based on speculaion that T-Mac will miss half the season because of his back, it really is day to day and you have to take it as it comes. As we already know, Yao will be missing a ton of more games, and T-Mac has brought in 9 wins and 3 losses without Yao while the team went 2-5 with Yao without T-Mac.

There is a good chance, god willing, that T-Mac will only miss around 5-10 games or so for the rest of this season and that should be good enough for the Rockets to get a decent playoff seed.

I guess you didn't read my post. I know there are a lot of letters there but give it a shot.

I'm not pissed at anyone. Am I worried about Tmac's health come playoff time. I also said Yao's leg injury was a fluke, and not reoccurring, so it is not as concerning right now.

Yes, Tmac gives us good wins. We are a good team but there is another level to aspire to. Again, I love Tmac. This is nothing against him personally or as a player. This is a health issue only. The big question is can a player with chronic back problems lead you to a title? Tmac has missed 8 games this season. That's not a lot. ONE game in the playoffs will be a lot.

We will make the playoffs this year. Tmac's health during that time will tell us the answer to the future of this team.

Yao was injured last season too, that's 2 seasons in a row with significant time missed.

As for the rest, I understand where you're coming from but I just wanted to let my thoughts be known. No need to argue over this. :)
